gtx 1070 or wait for rtx 2070 price drop?

gtx 1070s are becoming cheaper and cheaper, and I'm planning on upgrading my pc. Should I get a gtx 1070 or wait for the rtx 2070 price to drop (if it does) or get an rtx 2060 when/if it comes out.

Do you need a 2070? What resolution/refresh rate are you playing at?

It's very unlikely that the RTX 2070 will have a price drop. More likely they'll cancel the GTX 1070 after a bit and the price will go up. I say get a 1070 or 1070 Ti now.

The overproduction of pascal was much worse than any outsider anticipated, i wouldn't expect more than a 50usd price drop on the RTX cards. That said, buying the 1060-1080 is exactly what nvidia wants consumers to do, so look for deals, especially in february. I'd lower expectation on how much the 10 series card are actually worth though, plenty of them out there.

If you OC 2600, then you should have no issues.
