1 led has 3 diodes inside that are red, green and blue. It has 24 bit colour depth which means there are 16.8 million combinations. Each colour can be at level 0 to 255. and 256x256x256=16.8million

Redliquid reacted to CPC_RedDawn in Britain just decriminalised online game piracy
http://www.vg247.com/2014/07/22/britain-just-decriminalised-online-game-piracy/
Whilst I have in the past pirated certain forms of media, If I like something I always put my money down and buy it. I think if developers offered proper demos of games or a trial period (try before you buy) then it would kill off SOME of the people who pirate games to see if they run on their system or to see if they are any good.
Music piracy is rife, and I believe that if it wasn't for Itunes coming a long when it did, the music industry would of crashed and burned a long time ago. Movies are another thing, they are trying to give us gimmicks we simply don't need like 3D which does look good in some movies but in most its just silly and tacked on.
We need lower prices at the movies, MUCH lower prices. I went to see the new Robocop movie and for me and my girlfriend it came to a grand total of £25 ($42.67) we only had two tickets, and 1 drink between us. The movie would of cost more if it were in 3D as well!

Redliquid reacted to bchampion96 in Looking for help with different cherry switches.
It's pretty subjective yeah. Typos are easier to make on switches like reds with a lower actuation pressure because you can easily mispress a key if you aren't exactly on target.
-
Redliquid got a reaction from Heisenbleurgh in Looking for help with different cherry switches.
Good to know I used red before mu current (green) ones, Im gonna try blue ones next because i like green alot and it's the same only easier to press
-
Redliquid reacted to Heisenbleurgh in Looking for help with different cherry switches.
I'm not going to call them superior but myself and all coworkers that have used both red and brown switches have agreed that the tactile bump in the brown switches, although not as noticeable as in other switches like the blues, is very nice when typing and reduces the times you bottom out once you get used to measuring yourself to press until you feel the tactile feedback. Browns and reds have the same force so they're equal in that respect, but reds are so smooth a lot of people tend to bottom out when using them. A coworker has even said it makes his fingers hurt.
Might be less of a problem if you're only going to game, but for typing I do tend to recommend browns over reds but that's just from personal opinion/observation.

Video of the test scenario (short cut of the benchmark, benchmark is 180s long, video is lagging because my hard drive is not fast enough for fraps):
http://youtu.be/GGUlkTA-JII
For every RAM 2 runs.
ConclusionLess framedrops or less incursions FPS increase 58%, RAM MHz increase 60% -> in CPU-limited situation the fps increase is nearly the same as the ram MHz increase
And the most important thing is latency:

you wont really notice a difference between 1333/1600/1866 mhz on the ram i think.
Low profile: Corsair 8gb cl9 1333 mhz XMS3
High proflile: Corsair 8gb CL10 1600 mhz VENGANCE

Redliquid reacted to Whylex in H100i and 750d New installation
I'm using a H80i, but have also done a build with a H100i, both with top mounted push/pull
If the H100i is for the CPU, I dont believe the tubing is long enough to place the radiator anywhere else but in the top.

Edit: Im using 750D as well.

You can't declare a function in a function.. I was wrong
Also you don't need semicolons..

Redliquid reacted to wolfsinner in A Simple syntax problem in Python
Your indentation is wrong. Python syntax is all about indentation. Should be:
def distance_from_zero(a): if type(a) == int or type(a) == float: return abs(a); else: return "Nope"; distance_from_zero(5); -
