Will I see improvements?

Hey guys,

I used to be using an h80 with SP120s. Due to that pump dying and corsair replacing it with an h80i arriving Wednesday :)

What I want to know is on the old cooling setup my 2500k @4.6ghz sat at 65degC after ages of prime 95. with an h80i and 2 NF F12s iPPC 3000rpms what temps could I expect on that same 2500k @4.6??

MoBo: GA-z77x-ud3h CPU: 2500K @ 3.1 (miss my h80) Cooler: Stock GPU: EVGA 780 ACX RAM: 8gb G.skill SSDs: 2X Sammy 120EVOs HDDs: 2x Seagate Barracudas PSU: Corsair RM750 Case: Blue NZXT H440

Would they spin at lower speeds until they need to crank up through the h80i if I got the pwms?

I'v been thinking alot about buying a h80i but im hesitating because it's alot of money. What do you like and disslike about it? (water cooling i mean)

I might overclock in the future but im honestly afraid of it atm and i dont think i need to do it annyway

You can use corsair link to change the speed of the fans. Are the sp compatible to corsair link? Heard some problems about sp and corsair link.

To be honest all these all in one coolers are a bit rubbish, if you don't want a custom loop then go for a air cooler it's less hassle. Something like a Noctua NH D14 or Noctua NH D15 can perform on par with a H100. Plus with  a air cooler you don't have the problem of a pump failing, if the fans fail it's easy to replace them. If the pump on an AIO fails you have to remove the whole thing and reinstall a new one!

compared to air cooling in my opinion it looks better. better temps then most air coolers. less strain on the mobo. quieter and i hide my rad in my h440 and it just looks stealthy

Can't argue with looks but the Noctua NH D14 or 15 perform the same with a H100 if not better so you can;t really say it performs better. and an air cooler with 2 noctua fans is quieter than a AIO with a pump + 2 corsair fans.... If you're only going for looks then go for the H80i
