The GUI was very intuitive and the free version had all I needed.
Pick source and destination and then for the type of backup you pick "Mirror", that will only copy modified and new files (in their original format, not putting them in a zipped archive).


* I say "used to", because I don't use Windows for anything important nowadays, so no need for backups on it anymore 😄.

Synctoy by Microsoft is still a thing.  You might have to search for it but it's free.

Every few months I like to backup my entire Documents folder in addition to my *ahem* legally downloaded media to an 8 TB drive on my home network. It'll basically sync the most recent version to the backup location skipping anything that's already there and hasn't been changed. The website may look a bit janky, but I've used a program called DSynchronize for several years. Might be worth looking at.

You may have to upgrade to ssd large spinners spec laptop drive that run slower than the larger 3.5 will take longer to spin up and seek to the file. I had a quick look and it there seems to be a M2 slot on your laptop this is only from a picture i found of the mobo and it wasnt clear if it was just for a wifi card. if you can a 250 gb just for the os and frequent games wouldnt break the bank. If not then its a direct replacement for a 2.5 ssd.but there not cheap 80 quid ish for a 1tb

Tried defraging it? Windows options type defrag in the search, Then its select the correct drive etc.
 
 

how you connecting to the output of what i assume is a pc? Jack plug etc? Could you try head phones in same output see if that gets stereo if not then the outputs the problem. My 2 cents.

The OP *IS* running a high-end system, compared to a typical office system.
His 5700 XT graphics card alone can pull 210W+.
 
 
The Corsair TXM 550W or 650W will be absolutely fine.
That or, the three Cooler Master / BeQuiet PSUs I mentioned are also great.

Mint Ubuntu you got it covered and check the great vid on linux gaming with the god that is Anthony.

Power supply first. Your current one is dangerously bad and can end up kill components.
 
After that, get a card. Think the RX 5600 XT or 5700 non XT

That system will kill WOT but its not a high spec game.

500 ssd nvme +2tb spinner trust me on this my laptop came with 250gb by the time i had 4 games and a few apps HW monitor cpuz cinebench etc all gone.

No real point in overclocking modern hardware. Auto boosting is far better than ever before and gives you bear maximum possible performance
