Hmmm for some reason I didn't think the 3770K had integrated graphics, but apparently it does. I'm not convinced it will be able to do it, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it, maybe by then I'll be ready to upgrade from my 1080Ti and just use that for transcoding.

looks like P400 can hold up to 6 with an upgrade and is $100... might be worth it

Comcast makes them difficult to configure the way you want. Half the settings are accessed thru the web interface, the other half requires an App. It’s down right stupid. Plus they charge like $14 or so a month. Also most don’t provide standard modems they provide gateways that generally has crappy performance.

No its pure latency based performance. Bandwidth it not high enough for the cas latencies required to run them.
Also note DDR5 can currently only be used in atleast gear2 mode, which means with half the memory controller clocks. (1:2 ratio)
    while ddr4 can be used in gear1 with ddr4 4000-4266. (1:1 ratio)

SpeedFan works just fine for that...

You pick the sensor you want to monitor then set the fan's speed based on temp.

I believe your cheapest route if all you want to do with it is play videos at 720p is a raspberry pi 3 ($35) Another route may be to use chromecast or roku to stream the videos from a phone or device to the monitor. This is all assuming the monitor has a HDMI port.

If you're wanting to buy or build a full blown PC, I'd say just about anything with fairly modern hardware can play 720p videos.

That's not a double blind test then if you know which cable is which... A double blind is where neither the tester (observer A.K.A. you) or testee (subject A.K.A. your family member) know what is what until after the test has concluded. What you're going to do is a single blind test.

IMHO Also average people that don't have any professional audio experience probably aren't the best crowd to be testing this on. Also, playing a whole song back to back is a lot for someone to listen to to determine what they think sounds better. Probably a 5 or 10 second clip would be better so they can really compare the two would be better.

Just get the corsair commander pro. It has a ton of fan headers that you can plug your CPU and GPU into and run it on a custom fan curve in iCUE. Otherwise if you have some blank fan headers on your mobo plug a splitter into that and use software like speedfan to setup a custom fan curve.

I'd get the Sony, IMO they are all around one of the best in TV's.

Take for example their OLED tv's, I think Sony uses the LG panel, but the hardware that drives the panel is way better than what LG themselves use. This isn't an OLED tv, but in my experience I've enjoyed the looks of Sony over many of the other larger brands. Plus I'm not a fan of the "QLED" tech from Samsung.

A single nvme drive from a year ago can do nearly 1/3 of that in the sequential category, you have 4 drives in raid 0? Running in raid 0 does increase the performance as it scales pretty well. You should put up the 4K scores because that's more in line with day to day use.

Also what's with the press release? Is that just for fun or what? Because I dont follow it.

Logitech brought back the Mx518, check it out... I had an old one before it started acting up and would've bought a new one but it was discontinued. I ended up getting a corsair sabre RGB... but the Mx518 was a dream for me.

you dont want to just utilize a 2nd input on your monitor? If that's the case you could probably just get any KVM switch and only use the K and M part of the KVM.

just a suggestion... it'd also allow you to have one system on each screen if you needed, but you'd have to switch using the KVM. Otherwise in that instance you could just use synergy.

Buy a more expensive pair of stereo headphones and attach a modmic to it... The virtual surround is nearly as good if not better as 5.1 when you have two decent sized drivers. I use the Sennheiser HD598 and don't regret it.

I'd still reach out to them, they may not need all that information. Some of the larger companies will just help in general. I had an ASUS motherboard that was 5 years old or so that functioned as a media center. They decided to replace it with an RMA and sent me a brand new board back. It was a motherboard I bought off ebay used, so I wasn't even the original owner. If you ask me it's worth asking.
