Called it. It's been painfully obvious for a while now that the Titanic MG was heading towards its iceberg moment. The sheer amount of grandiose delusions pushed forward by the egomaniac-in-chief, in a desperate attempt to brush the mounting catastrophic failures under the carpet... Everything from the flawed, overpriced, alpaca-filled backpacks to the massive commercial failure of the screwdriver (see how they had to reduce the handle length to cut costs), from cancelling LTX (clearly due to no one attending) to embarking in that bottomless pit of money called "Labs" (or is it? Has the IRS paid a visit yet?), from the law-bending tax write-offs to hiring a sock-puppet, experience-less CEO (why the f* is he there? Isn't it supposed to be someone recognizable?) to save face, everything predicted the disaster that finally happened.

Speaking of write-offs, remember how his pink car would appear in videos all the time? It supposedly got thrashed and replaced by this luxury car he keeps talking about but no one has seen. Yeah, right, "thrashed"... sounds like insurance fraud to me.

I'm sure Colton regrets not getting fired for real before the downfall. At least I'm glad not to see Yvonne in the video, obviously she was smart enough to jump ship before it was too late (which also explains Luke moving back to the basement).

Imagine burning through all that Nvidia shilling money so quickly... I guess you actually needed a special screwdriver to screw up this hard, huh. What a loser.

    2021 Ford EcoSport Titanium 4x4

It was time to get a new vehicle, as my 2018 Jetta really didn't suit our needs anymore. It's struggled badly in the winters here in Reno, and it's getting harder for my wife to get in due to her bad back. It also got damaged in an accident at work by a drunk moron who crashed into in three times (here's a picture of the damage: https://i.ibb.co/RYjdSjw/20240220-113544.jpg).

After shopping around for a while, I narrowed it down to the EcoSport and the Kona, and ultimately decided on the EcoSport (the recent issues with Hyundai/Kia cars being stolen helped in that regard as well). I've had it for almost two weeks now and I'm super happy with it.

I know the EcoSports kinda get crapped on (and some of it's justified, the models with the 1.0, 3 Cylinder engine are crap, mine doesn't have that engine), but it suits our needs perfectly. I'm not someone who wants all the bells and whistles in my car, I just want it to get me where I need to go without any issues. The EcoSport has enough modern features to make me happy, but it's still very basic (most things are controlled via buttons as opposed to the touchscreen, for example). We wanted a smaller 4x4 Crossover that will allow us to go up into the mountains (see the picture above, I wouldn't dream of taking my Jetta there due to how bad the road going in was), but didn't break the bank to much.

My next goal is to get a tow-hitch installed so that I can put my bike carrier on it and actually be able to take my bike to some places I wasn't able to get to with my Jetta.

It finally showed up, holy shit. UPS lost this 3 times and mangled it in the process.

1989 muddy fox pathfinder, a cool bike from the UK, in overall fantastic shape considering its 35 years old
this is what I originally ordered, I presumed it was lost so I got my 80’s bike fix with that Marin Eldridge grade, and then this shows up
so now I get to have two sick ass 80’s bikes to ride around

anyway, UPS as I mentioned, mangled this, bent the derailleur pretty bad

this is why derailleur hangers exist on modern bikes, if you smash your derailleur into something you just destroy a little replaceable piece of metal, on old bikes, it bends the whole ass frame
I got it unbent good enough with a big wrench and fire

tore the entire thing down, going to completely rebuild and refurb it

There's the CPU gadget ripped from my Windows 7 computer.
Definitely did not expect it to be essentially a web app... thought it'd be an EXE
I doubt it would run right on Windows 10 though

Trombone maintenance stuff. Flexible cleaner to clean the inside of the instrument, grease for the tuning slides and lube for the big slide.

Cables. Since I got the Kemper amp, I only used it with headphones. I look forward to rip apart my desk, redo all the cable management and put these cable in there as well. The speaker cable goes from the Kemper to my 4x12 cabinet and the XLR cables go from the Kemper to my audio interface. I'll mostly record the guitar through those XLR cables, but maybe I'll try to record from the cab with my mics sometime too. Honestly though, I just want to jam out on the Kemper with my cab, I like that better than through headphones.

We have to load the font from the web rather than your computer because Comic Sans MS is owned by Microsoft (hence the MS) and is therefore not installed by default on all other operating systems (it may be on some non-MS platforms, but not all). If we relied on a built-in font, it would not be blocked here - that's why the fallback font works fine.

Well, it's not the font that's blocked, but alternate distributions of it, which honestly I find perfectly fair
