szym3k reacted to Jurrunio in Meshify C and Kraken x52
It could worsen GPU thermals since that's now forced to suck in the leftovers of the CPU cooler, but there's not really a better option, other than to get a card that runs cool in the first place.
You already bought the X52? The larger X62 could help a bit by simply pushing more air.

szym3k reacted to Dean.P. in Case for £100
I just bought the Fractal Design Meshify C for £79.99 on Amazon, can't speak for the other cases but I HIGHLY recommend it. It has staggeringly good reviews across the internet and the airflow is superb! Check on Amazon, Ebuyer or Box for the best deals. Just a heads up though I accidentally ordered the one without the tempered glass and had to quickly cancel my order so be careful what variant you want/ order.

Don't buy the NZXT H500, or any NZXT case if you want good airflow.

szym3k reacted to Raudi_ in Mouse lag in every game
I think so from Nvidia's website. Also close any monitoring software/rgb software you have open and see if that is an issue. You might be also having mouse acceleration vs input delay from the mouse.

According to this spreadsheet, it works fine.

szym3k reacted to Eastman51 in r7 2700x idle temp
Seems high for a 240 rad, but its totally safe.
Is probably rad fan curves and/or case airflow, H500 isn't the greatest for airflow since all its intake vents are on one side.

szym3k reacted to Thinkfreely in r7 2700x idle temp
They aren't bad but they are a little high. My 2700x runs 30-40 idle overclocked and never breaks 60c under load, using a 240 Ryou AIo

Idle-temps are pretty much irrelevant unless they're like 70C or more. It just doesn't matter, it won't damage anything.

szym3k reacted to Stefan Payne in ryzen 5 to ryzen 7 upgrade
Only swap out the CPU.
But if you didn't get the CPU yet, don't.
Endure it.
You might/should be able to drop in the Ryzen 3000 series Chip coming out a couple of weeks/months wich gives you a far greater Boost in Performance than 2700x...

No you should be good to just swap it, maybe clear cmos if you overclocked

Gotta love that 62Hz gaming bliss ???

szym3k reacted to Jurrunio in getting the most out of a 2070
in the control panel a useful thing is to use Fast Sync, but if you're not going past the refresh rate then it's useless.

I used to game a whole bunch.. then my audiophileness kind of took over lol. Trying to reach my end game in surround sound but never quite get there.

just smack the heaviest overclock you can do on it. If you dare you can even flash a higher power limit BIOS

First off, love the profile pic. Secondly, i fully agree with crunch and jurrunio, just overclock if you already havent, and could tweak the fan curve slightly for maybe more silent operation, or better temps.

szym3k reacted to Crunchy Dragon in getting the most out of a 2070
If it does fine at 1440p165, then there isn't much you can really do other than actually use it as long as you can to "get the most out of it".
If it needs a little push, you can overclock to get better performance(luckily overclocking GPUs is easy and pleasant).

szym3k reacted to Vejnemojnen in Cpu for rtx 2070
2600& manual overclock would work just well, and significantly cheaper than 2600x. I'd rather go something like 8600k for gaming though.
