Go to solution Solved by Slottr,

No you should be good to just swap it, maybe clear cmos if you overclocked

Howdy folks, so I was wandering if I need to do anything before I upgrade my Ryzen 5 2600 to a Ryzen 7 2700x? What I mean is will I need to uninstall anything?

Only swap out the CPU.

But if you didn't get the CPU yet, don't.

Endure it.

You might/should be able to drop in the Ryzen 3000 series Chip coming out a couple of weeks/months wich gives you a far greater Boost in Performance than 2700x...
