getting the most out of a 2070

szym3k

Howdy, I'm currently using a RTX 2070 and I want to know what should I do to make the most out of it, for example: what to change in the Nvidia Control Panel, what settings in game would you recommend, to overclock or not to overclock and so on... I'm running a 1440p 165Hz G-Sync monitor as well.

OHHH, SASUKE-KUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it does fine at 1440p165, then there isn't much you can really do other than actually use it as long as you can to "get the most out of it".

If it needs a little push, you can overclock to get better performance(luckily overclocking GPUs is easy and pleasant).

just smack the heaviest overclock you can do on it. If you dare you can even flash a higher power limit BIOS

First off, love the profile pic. Secondly, i fully agree with crunch and jurrunio, just overclock if you already havent, and could tweak the fan curve slightly for maybe more silent operation, or better temps.

Main speaker setup is now;

Mini DSP SHD Studio -> 2x Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC's (fed by AES/EBU, one feeds the left sub and main, the other feeds the right side) -> 2x Neumann KH420 + 2x Neumann KH870

(Having a totally seperate DAC for each channel is game changing for sound quality)

Thanks xD So you would bother messing with the control panel? Just go for the overclock?

Last time I tried overclocking a monitor weird stuff happened so I think I'll avoid that, and I'm already running at 2k 165hz so there isn't really that much I could do anyway.

in the control panel a useful thing is to use Fast Sync, but if you're not going past the refresh rate then it's useless.
