I feel I needed to join up to the forum to air a 'personal' grievance,
Firstly let me say I have been a fan of Linus for many, many years, he is a lovable character who possesses a wealth of knowledge and imparts this knowledge with impartially.

At least that was how I perceived him, recently LTT's has become another YT corporate, happy to push any product for the pay cheque.
The latest Intel laptop video is a fine example, anyone with a modicum of computer savvy will no doubt be aware of Intel and their backdoor and no amount of software patches are going to close that thing.

LTT's are openly pushing Intel laptops to get paid, completely omitting the fact Intel 6th, 7th & 8th Gen CPU's are not only a security liability but over-priced slabs of silicon. (I should know, I own a 6700 i7)

Linus from 4 years ago would have torn Intel a 'new one' but now he is happy to facilitate them to get a pay cheque whilst not informing the viewers of the security issues.

I once had huge respect for Linus, the Linus Media Group has become yet another YT advetiser, no longer concerned with consumers and enthusiasts, but more concerned with getting paid (as evidenced by the latest video).

It's rather sad to see Linus go down this path, although I guess it's inevitable, when you have this many subscribers, views and a huge audience.

Thanks for some great videos Linus, but I will not be watching any more. I have unsubscribed and you'll no longer be getting a thumbs-up from me on every video.

Get back to what you once did best, impartial reviews and informative videos.
Blatant misleading infomercials will ultimately be LTT's demise.
It's a dark road to go down if you deviate from what gained you this status.
But hey, I'm but one viewer, and you'll still be getting paid, so ignore me and my opinion I guess. :)

LTT is no longer what it used to be, i can agree with that. These days it's like top gear, entertaining stuff with tech but you don't learn much about the tech itself apart from what's on the spec sheet.

Honestly if you want really informative video's you'll need to look at channels like GamersNexus and Level1Tech. Proper testing, digging deep, investigating stuff, that's what they do. If that's what you want, those 2 channels are a good place to start.

I agree re: the physical RAM point, most people, especially gamers will see no benefit from 16GB or 32GB over 8GB, with DDR4 currently over £160 for 16GB then stick with 8GB and go up a model on the GPU with that £80 saved.
You can always upgrade to 16GB when the prices drop.
When I built this machine I paid £80 for 16GB, (June 2016) it's now double the price for the same amount.

You  make a good point regard memory speed, 7th Gen only officially supports 2133mhz and 8th gen 2400, faster ram is only required for overclocking - end of.

    That's a very valid post!

1: Either disable or move the page file from your C:\ drive

Right click the my computer icon, select properties, select advanced system settings, hit settings in the performance tab, then the advanced tab, then hit change under virtual memory

Untick automatically manage page file for all drives and make sure you set no paging file on drive C:\

2: If you do not use the hibernation feature in windows you can free up a huge amount of space

Open a cmd prompt (as administrator) and type the following, then hit Enter

    powercfg.exe /hibernate off

That will save you at least 7-10GB of space on the SSD

If you ever want to re-enable hibernation open a cmd prompt (as administrator) and type the following, then hit enter

    powercfg.exe /hibernate on

Did you disable event log service by any chance? Disabling that in Win10 causes all sorts of problems with connections.

    type in to search

    msconfig

go to services tab and select enable all

click apply, reboot and hope for the best

That's not true unless you specifically enable that option.

Try holding down shift then clicking start > restart. You should get a new menu where you go Advanced > Start Up Options > Reboot to UEFI Firmware

    Totally normal,
If it bothers you, you can do this:
Go in to power options and select the advanced settings tab, change the option to turn off the HDD after 10 minutes (set it to 0)

My desktop is on 24/7 and it always annoys me when the storage drives power down by themselves after 10 minutes of inactivity, so I do not let windows turn them off :)
