I should really put Windows XP back on that Acer Travelmate I have lying around. Putting Windows 7 Pro on that thing was a mistake. Amazing that I got 7 to install on a system with less than a GB of RAM. Usually it won't proceed if minimum specs aren't met. Aero even works which is amazing for a system from 2004.

Besides finding some cheapo second hand DDR2 and a cheapo HTPC grade GPU, not much. If you do those, it could be useful as a HTPC.

You could keep it around for the lulz, I've got an Athlon 64 X2 3800+ based system that I'm keeping around for that reason. Plus if you ever want to go back and play Pinball on Windows XP/Vista you can

Just kidding but for real if you like Naval Combat you should pick up Atlantic Fleet. Another military game is World of Tanks Blitz which is also pretty fun but the (imo) very dumb screen curves might get in the way of the UI. 
 
The Silent Age is a very good atmospheric side scrolling point and click puzzle game. 
Star Trek Timelines Is also good if you like Star Trek

Android has some decent titles available that are actually of really good quality and are not necessarily freemium. However, you probably won't ever find many of them just swiping through the store unless you specifically search for them.
 
Also look into emulation if you're a fan of RPGs. While touchscreen controls don't lend themselves very well to faster paced console games, it suits slower RPG console games just fine. Consoles up to about PS1, N64, and handhelds up to the PSP/NDS can be emulated easily on modern devices.

if you're a fan of stranger things Netflix series, the game in the play store is pretty good. tho it could cause burn-in since there's static HUD elements, but no burn-in for me

The Pro M is still a good case! The meshify does a little bit better air-flow wise than my 570x but I'd still take my 570x over it any day.

I thought it was good. It looks amazing in 4k, there's a lot to do, multiplayer is awesome. Story kinda sucked but it was ok. Overall definitely worth getting. One of the only games I've been able to stay focused long enough to play until 100% completion

Don't get the repetitive thing, there's so many options to approach missions; especially once you unlock the late-game abilities.
 
My main criticism is poor optimization. Both DLCs kinda sucked too, and they're closed ecosystems, you have to create a new character.

The meshify gets really good airflow. It has some of the best ambient temps I have ever seen in a case.

You have no idea how tempted I was to get a 1080 instead of waiting for the 1080 Ti. The anticipation for the pre-order borderline drove me insane. I try not to think about how much of a dent it put into my wallet. :{
