An experimental drug from Biogen became the first Alzheimer's treatment to significantly slow cognitive decline and reduce what is believed to be brain-destroying plaque in patients with early and mild forms of the disease, according to a small study likely to reignite hopes of a treatment.
 
Alzheimer’s is expected to strike as many as 75 million people worldwide by 2030 without effective treatments, likely costing billions of dollars year in care. A successful treatment would pay some of the richest rewards in medicine.
 
The 166-patient trial of the Biogen drug, aducanumab, an immunomodulator, tested four groups who each received a different dose against a fifth group who received a placebo. The treatment led to reductions in brain amyloid, a type of plaque believed to play a key role in the development of Alzheimer’s symptoms, according to interim data presented at a medical meeting in Nice, France, on Friday. The plaque reduction was more pronounced as the dose of the drug increased and over time.
 
It marks the first time an experimental drug demonstrated both a statistically significant reduction in amyloid plaque and a slowing of clinical impairment in patients with mild disease, said Alfred Sandrock, Biogen’s chief medical officer.
 
 
Biogen will begin enrolling patients later this year for a large Phase III trial that could be used to seek approval of its drug.
 
This early step is fantastic as prior to this, there have been no real way to treat the disease medically other than in the advanced stages. The only definitive (gold standard) way to diagnose AD is to undergo biopsy after the pt dies. Other than that, Drs can rule out other diseases with CT and MRI scans and come to AD by basically ruling everything else out. This is a promising "early round" weapon once that conclusion is found.

I don't see how you talking about Msquare can in anyway help your argument, Msquare was never banned for the reasons he has told you, or that you are perpetrating to the rest of this forum., if you really had any idea regarding why he was banned in the first place you wouldn't be here defending him. He actually created 4+ accounts to ban evasion and each ban was when he made the remarks he did and mods were certainly within their right to do so.

Maybe had you done it respectfully and professional, it would've been something that made them reconsider and reevaluate their practices. Update #3 - GPU Preparation
 
Its been a long time since the last update, not because it took long to do, but because of other commitments and lack of time. At any rate, lets get right into it.
 
So the next step was getting the heat-sink off the new R9 280x. I have to say, the heat sink was actually quite terrible compared to the one I got on my MSI card with a blower style cooler. The VRM was cooled by a separate heat sink altogether. As I understand a lot of cards do this now, but this was my first experience with one, and I’m glad I was getting rid of it, (the heat-sink, not the card ).
 
      And this is what the original TIM and VRM heat sink looked like. Eurgh. Why do they always apply so much TIM? It just ends up going everywhere       The card also came equipped with 4 rubber blocks that were taped to the card with double sided tape to stop the heat sink hitting the PCB when the cooling unit flexed. At first I was worried they were permanently glued and I would have issues getting them off.         So then I started applying thermal pads and TIM (Cool Laboratory Liquid Ultra). I have to say, CL LU looks awesome when applied. You have to apply it with a paint brush, spreading a drop about the size of a grain of rice across the entire core. You have to be very careful as it's out right conductive and will short things.       And then there were two. Unfortunately the back plates were different from some inexplicable reason, but I guess the second one isn’t an HD79X0 anyway and no-one will notice right? Please tell me no-one will notice!

This is a project that I decided to share since I benefit from it and I'm sure others will too. As you can tell from the title I like
having my websites that I frequently visit dark since I already spend many hours in front of a computer on daily basis
and having websites that I spend the most time on dark really helps with the eye strain I usually get and discomfort from
looking at bright websites. To make websites dark you will need a browser plugin called Stylish.
 
 What is Stylish? 
Stylish is a web browser plugin that allows you to customise any websites' CSS file allowing you to change the layout and the
colour of any element found on the website. The plugin uses what is referred to as User styles which are essentially
themes for websites. you can take out irrelevant content, change colours, or completely redesign the entire site. In this case
making any given website dark. Each User style is installed from the userstyles.org website which is then added to the Stylish
plugin and activate on the websites it was designed to work on.
 
 How to install and use Stylish/User styles? 
Stylish is available for Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and Maxthon. Here are guides for each one explaining how to
install Stylish and User styles:

 Global Dark Theme 
This theme was suggested by @InfamousHyperstorm and it applies a dark theme to every website you go on

Another alternative suggested by @Earache is an extension called Hacker Vision for Chrome which inverts the
colours on every website which should effectively turn them dark but you will have to deal with odd colours on

For Maxthon users, the browser has a Night mode option as pointed out by @spwath. It will work on all websites.

 YouTube 
I personally use a plugin called Magic Action (Available for Chrome Firefox and Opera) that has a dark theme
and other useful enhancements for YouTube. To get the dark theme go to the options for Magic Action and scroll
down until you see "Enable Day/Night feature". This will put a switch next to the YouTube logo when you
visit the website and once clicked will enable the dark theme. There are some User styles for YouTube but I've
found that the Magic Action has the best one and is always updated.

The warthog does not have a twist to the joystick, so rudders might be needed for yaw. This allows the stick to be far more solid and more correct in regards to sim and feel. This just means that the overall cost to making it a decent peripheral is increased; however, build quality, precision and control is of the utmost with the warthog hotas. The price is truly the real detriment (and the software it originally comes with, from what I've read).

Ok, so I do sometimes enjoy sims, but my main interest in this case is more towards star citizen and maybe elite: dangerous (if they add more to it).
 
I do understand that the thrustmaster warthog hotas is absolutely beautiful, but I am not willing to spend 420 usd (+ 100 to 200 for pedals) on one at this moment. Before I make such an investment I would like to go with something cheaper and serviceable for a year or so. It has been years since I truly made/owned a decent gaming rig, so it is also the first time getting into a decent set of gaming peripherals, since the late 90s, early 2000's. Rather than a full fledged warthog (plus cost of pedals), which I may not use often enough to warrant it; I could get a second 970 for sli with an extra ssd, two extra 27" 1440p monitors, or even buy 20 or so games. This fact alone makes me cringe from spending that much on a control set up that I am not experienced enough in.
 
 
From what I hear, the saitech x52 pro is a good choice, at times, even with the stick being too easy to move. That can be forgivable, but I'd rather hear my options. I also don't want to go the x6_ route where the stick doesn't move at all. The x55 I've not heard a single fully positive review since there are many minor issues that make it undesirable in some way.
 
What I want is a decent joystick or hotas with a thrust combination with decent switches and hats. Any suggestions?
 
 
Minor edit/ps: Please no fights on mouse v joystick/hotas v gamepad schemes or preferences. I already have a decent gaming mouse and I don't plan to use a gamepad (even though I have one I already can plug in). Thread is only about finding a joystick/hotas that I can get used to and enjoy.

i have the x65f and the only complante i have is the the stick dusent move(force sensing )
the only other ones i know of that are hotas are the warthog x55 x52 x52pro tho u mite find more useful answers on this thread
