On a more serious note, I have a friend with the Yeti who has no issues with it, similarly to yourself. Yeah, it's a bit bassy, but for Discord it works great. Also, USB2.0 is completely fine @minervx considering that we don't yet have a 4096-bit 1 BILLION kbps SuperHiDFi LosslesslyAntiLoss codec available. Not that our ears could ever hear the quality difference.

I literally cringed harder when I see this.
That screenshot perfectly shows how mCable Gaming Edition processes: it just interpolates the image, sharpens the image to a degree that I consider unacceptable, slightly saturates the colours, and increases the contrast to the point that it does crush blacks too much. It does not look like "anti aliasing" to me.
Honestly it just looks more horrible using mCable GE than just straight-up HDMI cable.

I encourage you to just save $150 for a better-performing graphics card than just wasting it on a cable that processes the image to crap levels.

Imo it makes it look worse.
It just makes everything soft and then cranks up the contrast and sharpening filter crushing blacks and drawing halos all over the place.

If you look at the first side by side from Tomb Raider, it makes all the small highlights three times bigger blobs destroying all detail in the process.
The same soft blobbiness is preset in the whole image, not only the highlights.
Also notice the the halo from the sharpening in the bottom right corner.

In the next side by side, Lara's jacket almost black (on my screen) with severe loss in detail where as the original looks completely fine.
This contrast boost can be seen in every example, but here you can see the downside well.
I'm not sure if this is the cables fault though, it could definitely be fuckup from LTT and how it was captured.

Here you can see what the overly done sharpening filter does. Look at the edges of the character. There is noticeable halo all around the character.
The pillar on the left is another good example. The original is perfectly fine, the edges are sharp and you can see some texture in it.
The filtered has horrible edges and all the global softening takes away from the texture in the pillar.

The whole image is just soft. The grass has little detail to left anymore. And look at the leaves and flowers, they are just blurry mess.

Some of the 1080p videos didn't show too many negative effects, but it wasn't better either. The contrast boost can fool you thinking it looks better... well, I mean, if you like it, then just crank that shit up on your tv.

You can find this type of conversations about bluray transfers from the day first blurays were released.
Some people like digital noise reduction that removes film grain, sharpened and contrasty image.
Others hate how digital noise reduction makes the actors look like wax sculptures, the halo around edges from over harpening and crushed blacks/blown out whites.
(I'm one of the latter ones)

I guess it boils down to - as it often does - personal preference.

At the end of your comment you wrote "Thanks Micro$soft", which I took to be a snarky jab at Microsoft not wanting to support Ryzen. Except it's pretty much on the onus of the hardware manufacturer to support an OS, not the other way around.

If AMD didn't want to support Ryzen on Windows 7, Microsoft has no reason to spend resources making sure Windows works as best it can on it. If Microsoft runs into an issue that they can deduce is a hardware problem (like scheduling), they can't ask AMD for help because AMD will just say "well we don't support hardware X on OS Y".  However, take that all to be an example; I'm not trying to single out AMD. It happens with any hardware manufacturer. Also, unsupported doesn't mean it won't run period. It just means you're on your own if you want to run it.

Though Microsoft's nuclear solution of basically neutering support for you if you're running a still supported OS but running it on an unsupported hardware configuration is questionable.

EDIT: Yes I understand the reverse can be true, but most of the time, the software developer needs help from the hardware manufacturer to get things working. If the hardware manufacturer doesn't want to support something, then there's nothing the developer really can do. Whereas if the developer doesn't want to support something, the hardware manufacturer likely has enough information about how the software works to get close enough to get something that's stable. Or they can pay the developer extra to spin up a team for support just for that period.

Case in point, Intel still makes Ethernet drivers for MS-DOS.

This video is terrible in a funny way.

Not the Galaxy Note 8 though, I don't like it.
Still using slippery glass, as really fragile as the Galaxy S8 (which is very fragile) and curved screens on the sides aren't my favourite. (And before you reply, software palm rejection is still software palm rejection, which is still not better than having a bezel.) Also, the screen's too bloody tall. It actually makes my landscape phone usage actually painful.
Oh, and it is much more expensive than Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 and the Galaxy Note 5, when it comes to unlocked launch price. And that price will be more expensive when you factor in the obligatory hidden costs, like a dbrand skin, an Otterbox case, screen protector (because yes, even with Gorilla Glass, you would still need one in case you don't want its screen to be scratched), etc.

And yet I'm no longer into this Galaxy Note line anymore since Samsung's unfortunate fate of the Galaxy Note line from the much-loved-by-Android-nerds-and-power-users line into a mainstream line. The Note 8 is still a Galaxy S8+ with a more blockier design, a Wacom stylus, a bigger screen size and an additional telephoto camera with OIS. And again, with a bigger price to pay.

The Angry Computersmasher reacted to captain_to_fire in Note 8 Reveal, Shot by Linus! He's... Terrible
I hope Linus stress tests the Note 7 by opening a lot of apps and see if the memory management is good if that 6GB RAM is worth it as well as review the power management when idle. Will it drop battery bars if it's constantly syncing multiple email accounts while on wifi and cellular data?

But then, $930 for a phone that doesn't use NVME? I don't know if Samsung's pricing here is justified. I think that absurd pricing is their way of recovering their immense losses after the Note 7 recall.

No this is only true in the mind of Nazis and Nazi sympathizers: people who'd like to pretend not to know what Nazi salutes, blood and soil, white ethnostate, etc. really mean. It means millions are exterminated in concentration camps for nothing other than their race. If you scream this things, you will get a reaction. The reaction from 90% of people will be to be appalled that a women was murdered in cold blood just because she refused to stand idle while the same groups of violent maniacs, attempt to gain political power to violently expulse lawful citizens from their country in the name of white superiority. And that's the best case scenario by the way, the worst? Well I already touched on the holocaust.

Neo-nazis and white supremacists don't need counter protesters to get triggered, don't need to get excuses to murder people. If they aren't confronted actively they'll keep protesting, more egregiously, more violently, more insidiously. Antifa and counter-protesters are not directly responsible for someone running over people with their car, unprovoked. No, being in fights earlier is not a justification for cold blooded murder. It's just not, it's radical white-nationalist terrorism.

Call it by it's name just like many were so eager to tell Obama to call radical islamic terrorism by their name and for what they are. I had just about enough of people that were constantly making a point about not being soft on radical islam, on Black lives matter, but now that the shoe is on their side "Look at all sides, the left provoked us! They made me a monster!"

Nobody wakes up and decides to become a white nationalist just because some nutty College kids and professors made a bunch of stupid fucking nonsense about safe spaces. Racism has been going on for centuries before any of this people where even a thing, which they barely are still.

As you may guess of my Zaku II profile pic, I'm one of those other Gundam nuts who prefer Universal Century. And then I see Gundam Tactics Mobility Fleet 0079.
I'm not that experienced with that game at all, but... You all just sent out 3 mobile pods that were named Balls (and you call them Gundams for some reason) against a Zeon fleet. These mobile pods aren't powerful.
It would definitely be untranslated Japanese text's fault.

EDIT: Actually, for the Earth Federation Forces side, you're started with 3 Balls on 1 Salamis cruiser. Note that these can deal some damage to even a Musai, Zeon's typical carrier. Although this post is to be edited sooner the further I play the game.
