3200 is more expensive and some times the prices doesnt justify the slight increase in perf, yes runs at 2933 but its not that big of a deal

I used DDU and installed a driver from early January that I know works really well with the games I currently play. I also uninstalled all of my games and downloaded them again. Everything is working fine now.

As a side note, DDU came with a lot of viruses when I unzipped the file, so beware.

I have tried, only managed 2.57Ghz, since my mobo can't really do too much over 333

That's why. I'd add a few fans, airflow is important and fans are cheap.

Ok so quick update. I just ran BF1 again, only difference between this time and the 20 other times i ran it is that GPU-Z was open. SOMEHOW i got 60+fps easily with only 1 or 2 hiccups, (which i can kind of expect with a 950). I dont understand it at all what so ever. Hopefully it will stay like this and not screw up any more.
thanks to everyone for their contributions!!!

i would start by unplugging everything, remove the card from the slot, blow on it, give it a couple good strong slap on the back (you know, the old way of fixing broken shit...bash on it) then i blow in the pcie slot as hard as i can, then i would insert back the card in with as much pressure as possible (making sure it sits very well in the slot) then i would plug back all the cables (again use a bit more force to make sure it's all the way in there real good) and then power up the machine and if that doesn't work and you can't get a signal out of it then i would probably bake that sucker.

The weird thing is that I have never heard this beep, and it happened when almost nothing was plugged in to the pc, it didn't just happen.

Hello folks, i was thinking of upgrading my desktop pc for christmas and since i found an rx480 on discount in a store near me i have a couple of questions for you.
The reason i picked an rx480 is because i want a gpu that will last me at least 3 years of gaming on medium-high settings.

Firstly, my old specs are as follows:
    CPU:Intel i5-760,stock cpu cooler
    RAM: 16 GB(4X4GB DDR3 1600MHZ)
    Storage: 1TB HDD
    Motherboard:Asus P7H57D_V_evo (h57_express  chipset)
    PSU:Corsair VX550W
    GPU: XFX HD5750 512MB
    Case:Thermaltake Armor A90 (http://www.thermaltake.com/products-model.aspx?id=C_00001612)
    Fans:1x80mm
1x140mm or 120mm im not sure

And here is the link to the gpu i was thinking of buying: http://xfxforce.com/en-us/products/amd-radeon-rx-400-series/rx-480-rs-8gb-dd-rx-480p8lfb6
When i went to calcualte the estimated power consumption the result was :395Watts

    So my questions are:
Will the new gpu fit my case?
Does my psu have enough power?
Since my motherboard has  PCIe 2.0 x16 slots will there be any problems regarding compatibility?

    Thank you for your assistance

Hey guys, I have a few more details to share.

The gpu can launch up Rocket league and play it, (at extremely low fps tho) without the drivers, could this mean its not fully on the gpu side? (even though i already tried with another psu, a evga 500w instead of my main evga 500B.)

Also, whats the difference between installing gpu drivers in safemode and without safemode, could this possibly fix the issue?

And last of all, should I try using the EVGA 500w psu just for my gpu, and my main evga 500B psu supplying power to all other components?

it depends on your luck and your operation conditions ( power delivery , overclock  , etc .. ) the average life is not that short though .

ofc it works alot of times but it is safer to pay a visit to the shop and let him reball it , i baked a card before and it definitely worked but u gotta lay out the goods and the bads of it  .  i mean if u are desperate and cant find a place to fix it , then go ahead but make sure u watch detailed tutorials of the process before attempting anything

    1. I'm thinking about going for repairs but I'm still confused about how long will it live after repairs?
    2. How long does a new GPU lives approximate hours? Mine was 2.5 years old I gamed approx (700-800 hours)
    3. In my case is it the GPU failure or VRAM?
    4. I was using the card to overclock the display for a long time. I overclocked my display from 60 Hz to 73 Hz can that be the reason for failure? I was using it for more that 6 months

idk man, I "fixed" my brothers 7870 by baking it... It was almost a year ago now. Works perfectly fine

If that's the only option left (It was in my case) Then... Why not?

AMD Spec reacted to WillEat4Food in Display Doesn't Work Whenever GPU plugged in
I recently bought a new system and got my monitor and my gpu a little while after everything else. At first, after I connected the gpu to the pci-e slot and plugged in all the power cables, the computer would boot up like normal but the resolution was far lower than what I was expecting, with a 23 inch monitor that is supposed to run at 1920x1080, but instead the resolution was around 1000x700 (forgot the specific numbers) and couldn't be changed. After that, whenever I tried to boot the computer up again, I'd get an error message that the input signal was either too far, or that there was no input signal detected. The error screen included something regarding a refresh rate of 30 hz and listed the optimal resolution as 1920x1080 with a refresh rate of 60 hz. I took the gpu (PNY gtx 1060 3gb) out of the motherboard and it worked fine, with the optimal resolution for my monitor. I've tried contacting PNY technical support but they haven't responded yet. Is there anyway I can fix the issue between my monitor and my gpu?

Can u use Msi after burner to monitor the gpu usage , core and memory clocks while playing and post a screen shot ? make sure u are in a team fight ?
while overclocked , turn off Vsync and fps cap

also turn on high performance from control panel

btw my fps also drops in lol sometimes , usually during spectating but nth out of the ordinary during normal matches . optimization issues i guess ?

but when u upgrade the monitor , the demand will increase yes but u will still get max fps since this gpu is already an over kill for this game

    whats ur cpu tho ?

It runs as an exe, you should just double click it. It might not work if you have a newer driver installed.

Use this program to uninstall all drivers from your system and try again.
