I currently use an RX 480 Strix with an ultrawide freesync monitor that was overclocked to 80hz. Yesterday, I started playing the Witcher 3 and noticed a lot of stuttering. The fps was still high, but frame times are bad. Here are the things I've tried so far.

- Fresh install of the most recent driver.

- Removed the monitor overclock and brought it back to 75hz.

- Turned Freesync off and had the monitor at 60hz.

- Removed the GPU overclock.

- Used a different monitor.

- Removed the RAM overclock.

- Did a fresh install of the driver from early January.

None of these things worked. I also tried playing GTA 5 and things are even worse than in TW3. Not only there is stuttering, but the frame rates are low, even on medium settings.

Has anyone experienced this? Could my GPU have gone bad?

so whats ur status right now ? totally fixed or still having some choppiness? please provide some detailed info because other users might benefit from your thread

I used DDU and installed a driver from early January that I know works really well with the games I currently play. I also uninstalled all of my games and downloaded them again. Everything is working fine now.

As a side note, DDU came with a lot of viruses when I unzipped the file, so beware.
