Graphics card driver problems

Hello,

So I've taken out my Asus r9 390 strix as it was faulty and is being returned to amazon, I installed my old radeon hd 6850 into the pc. Although each time i install the driver it changes/ does nothing. I am running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit, is it the OS that is causing the problem?

But u already owned an amd gpu , the latest drivers are backwards compatible ?

 

Just remove the driver With DDu and install a clean one and dont change it when ur 390x is replaced

Sweet thanks man will do it soon but I'm not getting the card replaced Ik getting a 1070 so I'm assuming that I will need to use ddu again. The reason I tried to install again was because the res was staying at 1280x960 and wouldn't let me go any higher.

Well I get an error message about their being no correct drivers installed and the resolution is stuck to 1280x960/1024 max! Which is good if I'm playing cs but I don't plan on only playing csgo .

Well try another driver. Check if the card is being powered correctly and all. If it is seated well in it's place.

I am facing a problem with my laptop (Lenovo G500, intel i5-3230M, 8gb RAM with AMD HD 8570 integrated gpu). Last week i tried to clean install windows 10 after the installation whenever i try to install latest graphic driver(using amd driver setup from the website)..during installation my laptop was freezing and i also tried with older version also. please help me in resolving this issue. 1 month before i clean installed it, the driver installaed without any errors

use the last driver that worked for you , make sure u are on the high perforkance power plan .install the gpu driver after the chipset and sound .. etc
