I have a complaint against SecretLab. I bought one of their Titan Evos 5 years ago, but after aboat a year the armrest started developing cracks and holes. After contacting their support they said this is normal wear and tear and wouldn't provide any support for it but I wasn't using it in any extreme way and I had the product for a very short time at that point when the issue started. They never resolved my issue and I just dealt with it. The bigger issue I have is that even today the chairs still have this defect on the armrests and they havent fixed it and its been 5 years. Many people are complaining about it online and are experiencing the same issue. The armrests are designed poorly and they shouldn't be degrading this much and this quick. I attatched photos of my wrist rests and other people online complaining.

I was looking for this. Made an account specifically to complain about Secret Lab's poor quality control over something that has clearly had problems for many years from what I can tell with that first reddit post about armrest tear.

I have a 2022 model, using it for about a year (wasn't using it for a few months when I first got it), and my left armrest already has a rip in it.

Support tried to brush it off as "normal wear and tear", asking me to pay a shipping fee for just one cover (which, considering the defect, they should at least try replacing both).
I wouldn't have cared all that much, but when I asked about also replacing the right while we were at it, they threw in that I could do so for a subsidized $90 CAD. For a right cover. When I could get a set of covers on their site for around $100 CAD (depending on style), or $25 on their "spare parts" page (which lists each side cover as $25 each). It sounded like some joke, as I can't see how that makes sense in context.
That's when I started googling it, and finding that it was a common problem...

The chair itself is fine, no problems there otherwise. But they really need to get called out on their quality control and customer support...

Some of your sound cards I know need a full length slot at least the higher end ones. Frankly being a Micro-ATX board more often than not the case the those boards are put in tend not to be able to handle more than the video card anyway.

If you are worried about upgradability ATX motherboards and massive cases are usually your best bet or with at least mid towers being a more common path to take.

Logitech Marathon M705. If it's a travel mouse for classes, you don't need a fancy mouse. Just something comfortable and reliable.

The G305 uses the same Omnron switches as most other gaming mice so there isn't going to be a major difference in how loud they are. None of them are going to be appreciably louder than the noise of everybody typing on their chiclet laptop keyboards anyway.

For college classes I'd just get some cheap tiny Bluetooth mouse that will be easily portable and also probably have quieter switches because they're shittier.

I just realized you might not have it. If you have a laptop your probably have it. If you have a pc and not a crazy motherboard, you probably don't. If you tell me your specs I could help you out. Anyways, you can get a bluetooth adapter from amazon for under 20 dollars. It's going to be the only way to connect to the headphones. Your phone also uses bluetooth, even if you connect to the headphones through an app. There isn't any pair of headphones that I know of that connects to windows pc through an app.

Why would you need an app? Just use bluetooth.

I'd wait and see what your roommates prefer. All 4 years in college my roommates were fine with my HD650's (and we were in a triple); if they normally use in-ears or closed backs it shouldn't be an issue (unless you like to listen to loud stuff while they're sleeping, or if they're too loud for you to use open backs comfortably). I had a couple of friends whose roommates used open backs and they were totally fine with that too. If you're in a dorm, there's a decent chance that the person with a speaker a few doors down is going to be making more noise in your room than you with your headphones.

Best to wait and see what conditions are really like before committing to a purchase; what you think you need right now and what you actually need could be completely different things.

Just wondering, because the cables for the Sony and sennhiser can be replaceable with soldering.
I have seen mods where people put a 3.5mm female connector in place of a wire.

Either Sony MDR 7506 (they fold small)
or sennhiser HD280pro (they are basically hearing protection with good drivers and comfy.)

Performance costs of anti-tamper technology Denuvo.  (DOES DRM MAKE YOUR GAMES RUN SLOWER?)

There are several games that had Denuvo removed with updates so it might be an interesting video to compare two different versions of the games using variety of different hardware.

Some notable games that had Denuvo removed:
Batman Arkham Knight Hitman ADR1FT Homefront: The Revolution Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (Denuvo on Steam but DRM-free on GOG)
    Watch Dogs 2
    Dishonored 2
    Resident Evil 7 Biohazard
    Prey
    Dishonored: Death of the Outsider
    Resident Evil 2

you may face some power irregularities when the light level isnt consistent, but should work fine

im not too sure how well a panel can handle the kickback voltage from motors, maybe you can look into that

to build on this, put a diode the wrong way on the back of dc motors. That way, the diode takes the voltage spike when the power stops, instead of something else in the curcuit.

I actually found a motor that is perfect. It is 6v like the panel and draws 3/4 of the power so it should be fine. I will check out the LiPo packs. Thanks for all your help.

i suggest looking into a voltage regulator to intake the irregular voltage of the panel and output a constant voltage to a cap/some buffer, then drive the motor with the cap.

depending on the application and operating condition, you may have to charge up the buffer for a bit before you can operate a motor
you could look into LiPo packs, they're not too heavy and can store way more than capacitors. though you'll need a proper charger for these (i used to steal battery from my phones lol)

a solar panel is rated for such an output will not output that amount under all light intensities, if you're not aware

it's smarter to have a buffer (like a big capacitor or a battery) and build based on that
