I feel like a few people missed his point. He’s saying that the wealthy could (and would) pay high amounts for the ‘highest-end’ phone. One of the few things that are unaffected by the wealth gap are smartphones.

I can’t wait for fortnite to just die. I have friends who’ve ruined their grades and bank accounts from playing it. One of them even starved himself, not buying any food besides 20¢ ramen, for a few weeks to get as much vbucks as possible.

Is this sarcasm? The mx150 alone draws more power than the entire APU. The 2500U beats Intel’s integrated graphics, and that’s all it should really be compared to- another low TDP CPU. Sure it’s gonna be surpassed by a combo that draws more than 2x the power (7700HQ + mx150), isn’t that expected?

This all started when I saw that the oculus rift sale ends tomorrow I hopped on the amazon product page and noticed that they have a trade-in program! Sweet! I l had an Xbox one + games sitting in my closet collecting dust so why not sell it to them? I list all of the games and the console, and they offer $330 for it all, nice! A $70 rift! Right? Well, before I finalise the trade-ins, I spill my humidifier (am sick) on top of my pc, and well.. you know what happened thankfully though when it was all cleaned out it worked, hallelujah. I boot it back up and go back to the amazon order and finalise my trade in, but wait, what? It’s in 2 seperate orders! They offered me $80 more when it was in 1 order. What the hell. Being me and wanting the max profits I cancel both without reading the terms and conditions. Big mistake. turns out that once you finalise, they instantly credit your account with gift cards. And when you cancel, well, instead of getting rid of the gift card balance, they go straight for your checkings account. There was now a huge gaping hole in my checkings, but who really cares? It’s just like buying an expensive amazon gift card, (right?) Well, looks like I get to keep my xbone (for now). fast forward an hour. I get slammed with 4 charges, one for rift, 2 for the cancelled trade-ins, an-, wait what? Why is there an additional **$120** charge?? I didn’t order anything else! 4 calls later with the incredibly useless amazon support later (honestly I don’t think it’s improved since 2013) later, I find out that *only 2* of those charges we’re ‘approved’. The mysterious $120 charge and the charge for the rift. This greatly confused me. I asked time and time again what the $120 fee was for and the only answer I could get was “a warehouse fee”, that may or may not be temporary. What the shit? Fast foward another hour and my mom calls me saying amazon charged her twice (the trade-in cancellation fees) and that she called chase saying that it was fraudulent, got it refunded, and ordered a new CC. Ok? So what about the amazon credit? I already used it to buy the rift... so I call amazon a few more times, get sidetracked, and ask about that warehouse fee. This rep said that there is no such thing as a warehouse fee and there is no current charge on my account of that number, and a second call confirms it, so what the hell is going on? At this point I’m really clueless (and it would make sense if you were too). So I just decide to call chase, tell them it was fraudulent, and they refund that $120. great. Now what about my rift? I called amazon and they said it’s ready to be shipped, yet all of the money -$70 has been refunded, how the hell am I gonna get it? so yeah it ends there, most of the cost of the rift has been refunded (as fraud) by chase, and my order hasn’t been cancelled. What’s going to happen? TL;DR: A fuck up with Amazon’s trade in program leads me (and my mother) to flag charges as fraud, I bought a rift with the trade-in credit, though, and it’s suppose to ship. What can go wrong? edit: my mom’s CC got charged ‘because it was linked to my account’. Hell if I know why they went after her and not me, though.
