FernandoTeixeira reacted to GoldenTree in A Overclocking Fourm?
Yeah here is more of a place to build relations, I know people who are on both forums and it just seems easier to start a conversation with someone here. People are nice on OCN but you need to know your stuff first or you will start a thread with people flaming at you or each other.

FernandoTeixeira got a reaction from GoldenTree in A Overclocking Fourm?
Yes man, I think the same... but sometimes here we have thread full of trolls with people who don't know what they are saying.
I really like LTT and think the "air" around here is fresh and much more friendly...
But any serious stuff we need to know almost always we will find at least 10 topics there. Here we may create one and some people will say
"you'll will explode your ram" without even know what they are saying.
So when it's not about overclock LTT is great and better to me... but when it's about to learn, read some serious stuff I go there now.

FernandoTeixeira reacted to GoldenTree in A Overclocking Fourm?
I have been on that for a while and I would not think so (Name is GoldenTree). People here are more open to new comers and OCNers expect you to know the basics (Most of the time) and find your place on the forum (I am personally in the sff side of things). While here everything is everywhere here. OCN has more specific categories. LTT has more vague subforms. Remember OCN is like 10+ years old I think and this is just about a year + so it is still fresh. Remember this is all IMO.
Thanks, Golden

You'lll never know if you won the CPU Lottery unless you try some serious OC'ing

FernandoTeixeira got a reaction from Nestor95 in Wow
no man, you must be not playing above 60 fps avg...
40 fps is like slow motiong
Try to cap your FPS in Trine 2 for example... try 30 them 40 them 50... and go on... really
also if it's avg in 50fps...mean when you are in a place with grass it will go to 23fps in a huge explosion

FernandoTeixeira got a reaction from TheMissxu in Final GPU decision
if you are going to wc it, doesn't really matter. Both are good... and if you are thinking about it because of OC , it's lottery ...so I would suggest the cheaper one. backplate + block and aesthetics will be completely changed.

FernandoTeixeira got a reaction from helping in Wow
actually...to me ... BF4 maxed run around 80fps with one 280x,,,, 1080p ...
but if you try to maxed Crysis 3 I bet a 780ti will not get it above 60fps avg at 1080p

FernandoTeixeira reacted to BYOGamingPC in Lightning 780 or r9-290
If you want something soon go with the MSI GeForce GTX 780 N780 LIGHTNING.
Otherwise, get the ASUS Radeon R9 290 R9290-4GD5 with an aftermarket cooler.

O hell no i cant even play far cry 3 at 30fps.

FernandoTeixeira reacted to OlekKing in Would a 780 be a waste of money?
Nothing is a waste of money as long as you got the money to spend.
-
FernandoTeixeira reacted to Lukiose in Why all this hype on the 780 Ti?
It is a very powerful card, although it comes with a not-so-amazing pricetag to boot. Enthusiasts love it because it in a way pushes the market forward for better products to come, although few would purchase it. Most people will never shell out so much money for a single card though, so although some of the hype is well deserved [it is the most powerful single-gpu card available to consumers at the moment after all]. Down to the root of it, people who go all 'omg 780ti > all, i'm gonna buy 2 of it because the 290/290x SUCKS(Despite costing $300 less)!' are just

FernandoTeixeira reacted to _ASSASSIN_ in Hypothetical PSU for R9 290
putting the ASS in ASSASSIN
you are using binned in the wrong context, binned means it's tested to a degree.
what you mean is that if you have a good chip, you can use stock voltage while still maintaining a good overclock, that doesn't mean necessarily that it was binned to achieve that, rather he just won the silicon lottery

isn't better a mid-end mobo + 4770k ?
as many reviewers say... if it's not to professional overclock nobody even use this kind of high-end mobo
