[Q] 780ti or wait for Maxwell

Hi guys,

 

I can afford the 780ti in December/ January, at this point would it be worth the wait for Maxwell?

I will be gaming on a 2560x1600 monitor.

wait for haswell, get cheaper 780 ti / rebranded 780ti!

I would wait and see if there are any announcements by nvidia around that time :D

3GB Vram is not enough for this res for future games.

 

Get a R9 290 Crossfire or just wait for Maxwell ( Could be very well that it's going to be released in a year or so , we'll have to see i guess.)

AMD isn't an option for me, because of the lack of non-reference cards in the market, and my build is quiet-orientated. I do hope Nvidia bumps up the Memory size on the upcoming Maxwell GPUs.

Maybe wait as long as you can, cop an EVGA 780 Ti, and hopefully be able to use their 'Step Up' program?

 

It's kind of win-win since they buy back your old card for how much you paid for it.
