Better black/white build. Look the parts up on Amazon.de
    PCPartPicker part list
    CPU: Intel Core i5-6600 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor  (€216.50)
^I'd save here by getting the i5-6500, cheaper but only slightly slower.
Motherboard: Asus H170-PRO ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  (€90.62 @ Amazon Deutschland)
    ^This over the B150 for €2 more

^White sticks to match your build
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  (€54.35)

Case: Cooler Master MasterBox 5 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case  (€68.55 @ Amazon Deutschland)

^Better PSU than the one you got, higher tier and modular cables

I assumed it won't take long too long to add in a 1TB hdd - it's $50. If that's not the case then nevermind.

You're clearly not going to fit all your games in the SSD, just the ones that matter. Like multiplayer games, where shorter loading times can prove to be very useful.

well biggest bang for your buck would be one of the cheaper boards. the difference in overclocking power between the cheaper Z170 boards (like an Asus Z170-A) and a premium board (like a Z170 Deluxe) isn't really all that much, and probably wouldn't even be noticeable with conventional CPU coolers.

Bang for your buck is something in the Z170-A price range, or even maybe a bit cheaper. Find a board with all the things you like, that comes with the right connectors, better audio, or whatever features really tickle your fancy. Some of my more commonly recommended boards are these:

    Z170-A by Asus.
    Z170X Gaming 3 by Gigabyte
    Z170 HD3P by Gigabyte
    Z170 Gaming M5 by MSI
Z170-UD3 Ultra by Gigabyte (one of their newer ones)

I tend to avoid Asrock since they often have ugly boards (personal preference), but if you're spraying then that solves that problem. functionally they have very good boards at competitive prices, but I'm not overly familiar with them since I've never really looked at them. Also, those 5 boards aren't the only ones you should consider. There are other reasons to look at other boards. I myself have a Z170-A in my computer, but that is because it had the things I wanted for my computer. the things you want in your computer may be different and may be available at a cheaper cost, or maybe you want to spend a bit more for something like a Q-code LED debugger on board.

Motherboard is a personal choice. You gotta choose for what you need =)

The advantage of the larger SSDs is not only the space.  Unfortunately, the smaller SSD also has lower performance (write and IOPS), so I'd suggest going for the 240GB if the cost isn't too much more.  Also, games are getting bigger and bigger, so that extra space will come in handy soon.

Here are the specs for the Adata SSDs:

    120GB Performance (ATTO)
      Read: Up to 560MB/s
      Write: Up to 410MB/s
      Maximum 4K random R/W IOPS: 60K/70K

      240GB Performance (ATTO)
      Read: Up to 560MB/s
      Write: Up to 510MB/s
      Maximum 4K random R/W IOPS: 75K/75K

How much did you buy it for? Unless you're getting $30 back (so gaining $15 back after cost of return) or more, I would just use it until you can save up for a better unit, or just buy a better unit now and use the CX in another system or something.

To be clear, the PSU isn't terrible, it's just not particularly suitable for higher end components. It will work as a placeholder until you get a new unit.

EDIT: That damn video that was posted above shouldn't be taken seriously. It's lead to a load of misunderstanding on the CX series.

As college is over and my Acer Aspire Nitro v15 was sold, it was time to get a cheap gaming desktop with older generation hardware.
Just to play some Counter Strike: Global offencive and Dota 2 or perhaps some more, wich will probably happen.
This PC is built on a budget and is scrambled form second hand parts, call it a Scrapyard Wars episode.

    Specifications;

    I5 2500k - 4.2Ghz + Artic Alpine 11 rev.2.
    Asrock z68 extreme4 gen3.
    XFX DD. R7950 - 1050Mhz.
    Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB - 2133Mhz.
    Corsair HX750w.
A random 320GB harddisk i had laying around.
And a case wich i still had.

I bought the motherboard, cpu, ram, and psu from the same person. The price was $180 including shipping, wich he even had to pay twice as he sent 2 boxes.
The videocard was bought for $80 also with shipping, wich totals it on $260.

What to expect from this older generation pc? Well enough. It even runs Battlefield 1 on ultra preset, ofcourse resolution scale is on 50% but dont get me wrong, This whole computer cost me less then a new "Sweetspot" GPU, correct me if im wrong. An yes im going to overclock it and run it even faster. Infact im planning on a custom watercooling loop all scavanged from the second hand market. Who knows a 7950 backplate might be for sale for a bargain when the next realease of cards is out (netherlands).
Oh and not to mention a ssd, damn these harddrive things are slow.

I beleve there are plenty of people running these setups as their gaming rigs, right? Is new on a budget better?
    Let me know!

you have a few options, one is a pcie wifi card, there are version with 5ghz such as

     http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833704133&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC-_-pla-_-Network+-+Wireless+Adapters-_-N82E16833704133&gclid=Cj0KEQjw6am-BRCTk4WZhLfd4-oBEiQA3ydA3t47ShlaTJpz8l6vkq57Jm2TJwG87mg35dgMgqQTyrAaAojY8P8HAQ&gclsrc=aw.ds

you can also go for a powerline adapter, the plus side with this is you will get much lower latency with it, but it doesn't always work with the wiring in peoples houses, it works best if both outlets will be on the same circuit.

im in the us and am haveing trouble finding link to uk adapters so here's a article

Mine is a mATX build w/c means the motherboard is smaller than the regular ATX size. mATX boards are cheaper cuz they lack extra slots like SATA, RAM, PCIE and fan headers. They're capable of fitting in smaller cases.

In your case you don't seem to be needing those extra slots so I went with mATX and it's the perfect way to save to be able to fit in a GTX 1060 gpu. The i7 in the build is the non overclocked version, so there's no need for an aftermarket cooler and a more expensive Z170 motherboard.

The ASUS Z170-A is a standard sized ATX motherboard for overclocking - w/c something you don't need. But if you decide to then you're gonna have to make a few changes in my build: a bigger case, aftermarket cpu cooler, more expensive K version of the i7. You're gonna lose the GTX 1060 in the process, w/c apparently you don't need.

Going with a 6700K build and no gpu would seem to be the wiser choice. It should be able to handle all the streaming and editing without need for a discrete gpu - I can't confirm this 100%. I'm pretty sure though that a discrete video card (equal to or greater to an on-board gpu) will always out-perform the on-board solution.
