It's funny because OP dun goofed on so many levels.

First of all, he cheaped out $30 on the case and made his own tiny case that doesn't look good at all. Or he could even get a free one on gumtree, there were tons of possibilities to get a standard ATX for a very little money or even free.

Then he went for the most expensive graphics card and tried to stick it into the case.

Turned out that the case was bad not only looks-wise but also didnt even have space for standard parts.

So instead of thinking twice and just going for a normal case he decided to mess around with some 3rd party coolers.

He bought a 3rd party cooler that didn't match his card (hell even the company name didnt match). And he assumed that it should work even though it was literally a different company and stuff.

And instead of re-thinking everything all over again or at least buying the correct cooler, he went ahead and drilled a f**king hole in a super expensive piece of technology.

And then he finally topped it up with frying the entire board with a screwdriver for god knows what reason.

He could literally avoid all of that if he got an used old crap $20 ATX case from craigslist or gumtree.

How can you go through all of that without realising that you might be doing something wrong and there could be an easier way?

I mean he had enough cash to buy a $1000 card but not enough to get the cheapest possible used case?

    I dont even...

The only benefit of the strafe over the k70 (other then the silent keys) is brighter lighting. So imo go with the k70 the media controls/vol wheel are great as is the build quality with the aluminum

I wish more people understood that.

The same principle applies to buying modified cars. Just because you spent $2,000 on your turbo and $1,000 on your crankshaft doesn't mean you get to add $3,000 on to your asking price.

wait for when you have all the money to buy the parts all at once. If you do it over time, new parts will come out and some parts might not be compatible.

I like the Mangusta a bit more now that i know what mangusta means
Since a mongoose can kill a cobra. And the mangusta came out soon after the Shelby Cobra

It's NA, they're all egotistical individuals with their heads up their own arses(Minus a few of course, usually lower skilled players, or newer pros), and Freak is no different. A bit of friendly trash talking is a laugh, and fun(heck we all do it), but what Freak did was just ridiculous. He's someone who tries to promote positive thinking and a positive attitude towards yourself and others and repeatedly has bashed those around him, including being aggressive to Thorin, WarOwl, and now Simple. He also goes along the lines of saying "Bullies are just those people who are insecure about themselves." and yet, I wouldn't call this bullying, but surely he's insecure about his own performance now Simple is the best player in NA. Either way, C9 are always going to get bodied at EU LAN's and Liquid may actually make it past the first game of the Majors. :^)

Thorin destroying Freak in his own way.

Wow, what an awesome thing to find so many enthusiasts on here!

This was '04 STi which I sold 2 years ago to fund the next project which has yet TBA.

I bought the car with a blown engine. It was SLAMMED to the ground on mid-grade Stance coilovers (Which were, of course, blown), had 3" straight through turbo-back exhaust and a bunch of cheap engine parts (Lets not even talk about the intercooler piping that was included). The wheels are 18x10, and super stretched 235/40/18 tires. The tires were worn down to the cords and even if the car ran, I would have never driven it home.

As you can tell, the car is vinyl wrapped. The car is actually World Rally Blue. Before I sold it I stripped the vinyl off found that the paint was perfect! A pleasant surprise as it was a worry of mine when purchasing it.

So, to fix the suspension up I bought new STi struts and putting basic Eibach Pro-Kit lowering springs in. Made the car ride and handle like butter. At the same time I upgraded the rear sway bar to an adjustable HD 24mm Whiteline. The front already had an upgraded front sway bar. Bought a set of 255/35/18 Continental ExtremeContact DWS. Which are awesome tires in case you are wondering.

I rebuilt the engine enough to have fun, but I didn't want to spend everything I had.

    Catless up-pipe
    Stock turbo (fresh rebuild)

At the time I was working at a high-performance shop, so it was pretty convenient having a tuner right there. On 92 octane fuel sitting at 25psi, we managed to make 290awhp on a 4wd Dyno Dynamics dyno. Corrected for DynoJet it's closer to 330-340awhp. We could have gone higher, but unfortunately it was middle of winter when we tuned so the atmospheric temperatures were making things difficult to dial in.

    Obligatory on dyno pic.

And a few more. These were from the Paul Walker Memorial Cruise the very week he died.

I've had tons of other cars as well. I have owned over 6 DSM's, an Acura TSX A-SPEC, a number of Civics, a turbo Integra GSR,  '98 Subaru Legacy GT blahf blah blah blah. (Trying to find pictures of these. Will post when found.)

I have over 10 years experience in the automotive repair field and have worked at a major high performance shop that worked on projects ranging from Shelby Cobras, to GTR's and Lamborghini's. So if anyone ever wants to talk cars or has questions feel free to ask!

Well the Hakko unit will run you around $100 where you can get away with say a $20 iron at times doing generic work or where the fine temp control isn't needed.
