Type C should definitely work. But you would need software support. Also it would still be severely bottle-necked.

check the clock for the gpu, when an unstable oc fails it goes back down to an underclock/stock settings.

The one I recommend that is around that price is the 256gb and its 180$ - This is m.2 uses the PCIE lanes not the STAT lanes.

if i knew all this, I wouldove recommended something much different. Also you can have a stata m.2 or a pcie nvme m.2 - pcie/nvme is much faster than sata. So your half correct on what you had said XD.

Also, 1.4 is RADIOACTIVE DANGER ZONE for air cooling. Anything under that and you should be good (temps wise)

If you need a new mobo I recommend saving for when you can change it all out. Get a i5 6600k, new mobo, ddr4 ram. Your other parts are completely fine. IF you do upgrade what I just said to, then your computer would last a whole lot longer and you would be able to play almost all games on ultra @ 1080p.

Everything seems fine. Id suggest you use the 970 (massive improvement) and you should be good to go for a little while longer. If you play horribly optimized games your going to want a cpu with higher single thread performance.

I would go with the core 2 duo, has a slightly higher single thread and overall rates about 2x as good.

A better CPU, a better GPU, a more reliable power supply, and 480GB of solid-state storage which just makes everything faster. This configuration will allow you to max out almost every single AAA title out there. However, if you're damn certain you won't play anything besides CS:GO, you don't need to spend this much and can get the same performance with a $450 PC. If you're looking into becoming a competitive player, I'd recommend investing the extra cash in a low-latency, high refresh-rate monitor and a gaming mouse instead, and using parts like a Core i3 6100 and an RX 460 instead.

There is nothing you can do to that processor that wont make it a bottleneck. Get a 1060 and i5 6600k.
