no, it's h110/b250 for cheap boards

is it the same chipset? how do you think it would perform with a 1050ti?

no, but it has 2 extra threads, which allows it to actually RUN some games that the G3258 can't.. and with a 480 it smashes the poor 3258 into the ground

why a 3 year old architecture? h110/b250 and g4560 is better value

Depends on the ability of the CPU, but usually 4.0 is a piece of cake.

H81 supports overclocking. All Haswell chipsets 'unofficially' supports it.

But don't push G3258 to its limit, since H81 mobos are not that sturdy.

It does not, only Z series boards do.

Its a replacement to Vsync, it will make everything look smoother with next to no input lag, it might help with CS:GO and it will make other games prettier

Cheaper than GSYNC. Do it though, the games that stay in your Freesync range will feel butter smooth at all times.

I can't go back to fixed refresh rate after getting my GSYNC monitor.

@Mike87 I have the same one but the thing that fix my issue is not under bios, go back to your bios use your default Setting. then go to your Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options > Balanced then set it to High Performance. "Note: if you do this even if your computer is under idle it will generate more heat and it will run it Base Clock to Turbo Boost Speed" and yeah doing this Gave my BF1 High Setting a 60FPS and the thing is BF1 need more than 8GB. I upgraded to 16GB as soon as I watch a lot of YouTube video that it helps a lot.

Hi, I thought I' share my thoughts, as I've been drooling over the kaby lake / 200 series lineup for weeks, and whilst I haven't got the new board to drop it into yet, my new G4600 arrived yesterday.
I've only seen 1 benchmark of the G4600 so far, which puts it, in a very general manner, performance wise somewhere between the i3-6100 and the i3-6300.

It definitely has 2 threads per core (so 4 virtual cores available).

*This is based on the view that I will be relying on the gpu integrated graphics, at least for now, and not using a separate graphics card.

If I had gone for a skylake, it would have been the G4500 (NOT the G4400), because there's a slight disadvantage with the gpu graphics chipset from the 530 which the G4500 has to the 520 (which the G4400 has).
This I would have to assume is going to be similar to the kaby lake G4600 which is the lowest spec desktop pentium that has the 630 graphics in it. (it also has a .05 mhz faster gpu base clock than the i3-6100).  Also, that G4560 only has the 610 graphics chipset.

The reason I'm telling you this is because, whilst mine will be mainly a workstation and test bed, I wanted the option of using it for light gaming.  Particularly, I was looking at getting Civilization 6, and the benchmarks I've seen say that the intel HD 520 gpus cannot run it, whilst the intel HD 530 gpus can.  The G4600 was the best looking option for money that I could drop into a z270 board, there's a reason of the slight difference in price between the G4400 and G4500, I'm certain that will be reflected between the G4600 and the lower variant too, but this is partly why.  over here the price i paid for the G4600, is £100 less than the estimated release cost of the i3-7350k. which i would have been tempted by had it not been priced like that.

*I believe that all of the series 100 chipset boards will support the new 7th gen chips with a bios update, but worth checking yourself on an individual basis.

I hope this helps you a little,  I'm impatiently waiting for my new mobo, so I can benchmark up the new G4600 and compare properly to published results on the G4500, G4520, i3-6100, i3-6300.

That's what AM4 is for, it'll have an upgrade path, and it'll have actual GPU performance, like in those benchmarks, so yall can finally upgrade to Dota 2 lol, although I think I'd prefer all stars over the newest patch 7.00

but ya those 4 thread pentiums look like last gen i3 replacements, should be fine overall

That would be considered an overclocking feature which is unavailable on your mobo.  You could however try setting you min power state in power management to 100% this would cause your cpu you always run at max.

I feel this issue currently my ASUS B85M-GAMER I have a pair of ram a total of 8gb currently needing more ram cause of multi task and other games right now I have a hard time looking for the same ram I have so I would recommend if you can spend a pair of ram a total of 16gb go with 2x8gb rather than 4x4gb. but if you ask me I would rather have 4 stick for cool aesthetics

I don't know to you but here in the Philippines the Plastidip here in my local hardware cost around $20-25 and at that price i think it is much better if i just add that Modding Cost in the purchase of the PSU.
