Poor FPS in CSGO for Brand New Build

Gday,

So I just got my new PC and have been looking forward to getting some very good FPS in Counter Strike - Global Offensive but for some reason I am only getting 130-180 FPS. Which i would want at least 200 fps stable with with 144hz monitor.

I have 1.5k hours on CS and my previous computer was getting comparable FPS yet it was 5 years old!!!

My PC specs are:

CPU: i5 7600K

GPU: Galax 1070 EX OC SNPR White

RAM: 2x 8GB (16GB) Corsair Vengeance 3200Mhz

Motherboard: Asus Z270-AR Prime

CPU Cooler: Corsair H55

SSD: 960 EVO 250GB (CS is installed on this)

Operating System: Windows 10

So what I have done to try fix it:

CSGO Launch Options: -nod3d9ex -freq 144 -refresh 144 -novid -nojoy -high -tickrate 128 +exec mbjan17.cfg -threads 4 +cl_forcepreload 1

CSGO graphics setting: all lowest with multicore rendering enabled

Nvidia settings: V-Sync off

Yes my monitors are plugged into my GPU

Furthermore, I have turned off onboard graphics in the bios.

All drivers from what I can see are up to date.

XBOX DVR is turned off.

So I am wondering what I am doing wrong!!

Withing Asus Intel Extreme Tuning Utility it says I am using 80% of the CPU but I find that very hard to believe with only CSGO open (and the Utility app) at 150ish FPS with the Max Core Frequency set to 3.82GHz.

Secondly, I can run Overwatch on EPIC settings with 120 FPS which is a much newer title and much more strenuous on the PC.

This makes me lean to believing it's the Source Engine but I am not certain.

I put this post in this sub topic as CSGO is a CPU intensive game

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, thanks!!!

Yea, what Apache said. When i replaced my mobo all of sudden my frames dropped noticeably and thought it was my new mobo (Even though it was more of an upgrade) and i knew about the issues with the CSGO update and how the new Xbox dvr thing could drop your frames, but didnt really think it would make that much of a fps dif', until i changed it by turning the dvr record setting off after reading this thread and i was really happy to see my frames back to normal =). Before my frames would jump up and down dramatically, couldnt even get a steady average (Would be like 280 than drop down to around 180). Now my fps is back to how it was before that update, keeping right below 300 frames (which is my max fps in csgo) And thats with a Fx8350 paired with a Gtx970. And you have a i5 7600K with a 1070? Should be getting wayyy over 100 fraems with that setup, so if you havent tried turning the dvr thing off should do so now! meow..

May Your System be Silent, and your Frames the Most Violent
