Fuzz_Ball got a reaction from Pachuca in RAM upgrade on old latop - how to find the pins
My best guess, would be 204. Don't really need to count the pins. Just look at the length of it. If it long, then it is more for desktops. If it is short, similar to what is already in your laptop, then it's for the laptop.

Macrium Reflect does everything for you. It'll clone the source drive. If your Source drive is your main C drive, then how your C drive looks, your new drive will look like that. If your new drive is bigger (ie: old drive is 250GB, and new drive is 500GB), there is an option to extend whatever partition you want. There are some vids that show you how to do that.

Fuzz_Ball got a reaction from Hi P in Display GPU on Laptop
If there are two GPU (Intel and Nvidia) on a laptop, the display is always using the Intel as the main GPU. Only the time Nvidia graphics are being if more GPU intense tasks are being used (ie gaming, rendering, ect)

There been times where a 'mining card' still shows strength as if was a new card. It all depends on how it was taken care of. It doesn't sound to bad

I think the box would probably have it, or maybe the BOIS, or there should be a little sticker on your motherboard

Well, I kno that new Linksys is pricey. I do want to stay away from cheap routers and Netgear brand. I had some devices don't agree with Netgear anyways.

Fuzz_Ball reacted to W-L in Water cooling dripped onto graphics card
Clean off the PCB with 99% isopropyl alcohol to remove any corrosion or residue from the fluid, it will also displace any water that is left there or under the SMD components.

Fuzz_Ball got a reaction from Habby in Is this build good? (useful)
212 evo is what I have on mines and that is keeping my CPU below 40C in games and heavy load. It is a good deal IMO and shouldn't break the bank too badly.
For PSU, can try Corsair, but avoid the CX versions. I have a Corsair TX650, which is about 3-4 years old already and still kicking it.
GPU - If you want a AMD GPU. I think the Radeon R7 370 (ref: MSI Radeon R7 370) would be perfect. that is about 179.99 USD. 10.00 USD then the GPU you are looking at.

If you want to use AMD for a CPU. my input would look into an aftermarket cooler for it. Trust me on this since I run a 8320 (8core). The stock fan ran at FULL SPEED all the time and whole room got toasty. If you have the budget for an CM evo one (around 30USD)
PSU - stay around 500 or get a 650 if you can.
Comes to AMD CPUs.. nothin wrong with them, other then they love power and heat, but works when you are on a budget... just avoid AMD GPU... they don't know how to make driver updates. :v Well some cards, the updates break... that is. lol

Fuzz_Ball got a reaction from ChrisCross in Should I...
I might as well wait on it then. Seeing cards that give me a slight boost, for the same price as I spent on the two year old card. I do like the idea of the HBM
