Blake Gall got a reaction from mosin40 in [NA-SA][EU] Introducing How To Gaming - the community that wants YOU!
First and foremost, I got permissions from the moderators to post this thread on behalf of my community, replacing the existing one.
The OP is no longer active.
Hello! So you're part of the PC Master Race and are looking for people to play with? Look no further! I would like
to invite you to my community known as How To Gaming. I'm a member of it and I love the experience.
We're a community based in NA but we have EU and South American players as well, so if you're live in one of those areas, you're most welcome
to join. The area restriction is purely for ping reasons.
We use Discord. We switched to it from TeamSpeak mainly due to the chat option which is used most of the time when not gaming.
There's also a mobile app available, not to mention that everything is free.
Our members play a variety of games but as a community we mostly play GTA V, Rocket League, Insurgency, The Division, and
Cards Against Humanity on pretendyourrexyzzy.com (free)
I also would like to mention that we will be opening a FTB Infinity community server in the near future.
Some other games that our members play individually:
DayZ
League of Legends
CSGO
Some potential games we'd like to play as a community as we expand:
Battlefield
Tabletop Simulator
Requirements to join:
-Working mic
-Willing to be active (not required if you advise the administrators before going into a period of inactivity)
-Be child-friendly (there are some young people in it) however do note that there is a NSFW channel for all your NSFW needs
We do community streams whenever there a multiple people playing on Twitch. The stream is usually hosted by me and occasionally by Bloodyvalley, the founder.
Join our Discord server! (You will be kicked if you disconnect from the server without having a role - so ask for one, if not, just come back later): https://discord.gg/0eHLxWh9hsPb6lzC

YouTube: Coming soon!
TL;DR: Cool community wants more people, join us with the discord link above so we can play with you.
420 friendly
We also have a NSFW channel for those interested, our own news channel as well as a deals channel. There are also two Discord bots, one made by
Jack, a community manager (bot name is Ava) and another one made by me (ErraticBot).

See this is what happens when you get incompetent people to analyze data:
-Bill: "Hey Bob, I just got the market research results!"
-Bob: "Fantastic Bill, let's see here.....It says that the current best seller it's the 750ti"
-Bill: "Oh I'm sorry, here take a look at the second page where it details or tar-"
-Bob: "No no no, forget about those, this says that these 750ti's are the most sold AND the most profitable cards! We need a product for this market!"
-Bill: "Bob, we make fucking water cooling gear."
-Bob: "That's right, and now we'll have the only water cooling block for the most successful card! We'll clean up this biatch!"
-Bill: "What? Damn it Bob listen to me: People who buy cheap cards can't fucking afford custom water cooling rigs!!"
-Bob: "Shut up Bill, you're just a stupid nerd, maybe you should have gotten an MBA like me and you would know what business is all about! We've gotta seize this opportunity"
-Bill: "Whatever you say Bob, I'll get right on it...and start sending resumes around to land another gig before this shit goes up in flames"

Hi! I'm part of How To Gaming gaming community, and we need more active members! (Not same thread its been revamped)
✦Who are we?✦
We're just a group of guys who want to have fun. That doesn't mean we can't be serious at times, but most of the time, we're casual players.
We are not a clan. We do not play a single game, competitively, we play many games, casually (except for Insurgency, we're pretty serious about that)
Quite simply, we just want to have fun and laugh a lot.
✦What do we do?✦
We play games and have fun doing so! We also just chat about random things. Just like any gaming community!
✦How many members do you plan to get?✦
We plan to get as many members as we see fit. Once we start getting too many, we're simply going to stop accepting members.
Ideally, the 40-50 ACTIVE member mark is where we're aiming at.
✦What games do we play?✦
We play just about anything. The games we're mostly into are:
Rocket League
Grand Theft Auto V
Insurgency (or as we call it, Insurgery )
Battlefield
Chivalry: Medieval Warfare
Warhammer: End Times Vermintide
Minecraft: Tekkit mod (24/7 server hosting it)
Payday 2
Left 4 Dead 2
Keep Talking and nobody explodes
...AND MORE!
Games we would like to play in the future, with more members
Tabletop Simulator once we start getting enough people (currently only 3 people have it)
Cards Against Humanity game nights (free game http://pretendyoure.xyz/zy/)
The Division
Ark:Survival Evolved
...AND MORE!
✦Are there any requirements to join?✦
Yes there are.
First of all, there is no age requirement to join, as long as you're mature, it's totally fine.
Second of all, and probably the most important aside from respect, is that you must use TeamSpeak and have a mic
If you do not come on TeamSpeak regularly, you will be kicked from the community, because you're basically not even participating.
If you know that you will be away for a while (ie: midterms, finals, something happened in your family, no more Internet, etc) you must notify us.
Last rule is that you must be respectful. Racial slurs are a no-no and try to keep the homophobic slurs to a minimum as well.
✦How can you join us?✦
Check out the Steam group before joining!

Blake Gall reacted to Blade of Grass in This is a way to include HTML markup from other files
You can use PHP for this (as you guessed), but you can also use a built in Apache function called Server Side Include. https://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/howto/ssi.html
Whether or not you should use SSI over PHP is another question

Blake Gall got a reaction from prolemur in This is a way to include HTML markup from other files
I was looking up how to take a file with HTML markup and include it in a full HTML document. I got nowhere, so this is my guide on how to do it after a day of experimenting
This is the file with our HTML markup (file.html):
<h1>HELLO FROM THE OTHER FILE</h1> And this is our full html document:
<html><head><title>Experiment</title></head><body><h1>Hello from this document</h1></body></html> This method will be using javascript so if your trying to avoid JS, this isn't the method for you.
First, we need to add a div element. We're going to put it right below the header.
<div id="container"></div> Now we need to create our script element:
<script> </script> In the script, create a XMLHttpRequest
var xhr = new XMLHttpRequest(); Open the XMLHttpRequest
xhr.open("GET", "file.html", false); (You can set "false" to "true" if you want the request to run in async mode. I left it at false to keep this tutorial simple.
Send the Request
xhr.send(); Now, set the innerHTML attribute of the container div to the responseText attribute of the XMLHttpRequest
document.getElementById("container").innerHTML = xhr.responseText; And that's it for the code, you should see this:
Hello from this document
HELLO FROM THE OTHER DOCUMENT
And that's it. I know we probably could have used PHP, but I was trying to refrain from that in the project I'm doing. Thank you.
EDIT: Also, if you want to manipulate elements in the file, you want to do it somewhere after you've set the innerHTML of the container.

Heres a little info:
So this is my current setup, it has an fx6300 on it running @4.7ghz with a hd5450 graphics card. Im still working on getting a new 2nd monitor and such, and this computer will be used for video editing, and 3D rendering. Also, excuse the poor quality, im still trying to get money to buy a panasonic ag-ac90.
Also, im still trying to learn how to use adobe premiere, since I wanted to move with a more proffesional software for editing, and this was the best timing so I can learn some stuff off it too (I was using sony vegas but not anymore, I want to learn how to use proffesional software and do this for a living in the future. I'll be obviously going to some audio and video production university and this stuff really excites me,)

Blake Gall reacted to Afromancer in I need a mic, help please
Im calling to all the mic people of LTT forums, or even people who know or have good quality mics
I am looking for a mic to use for youtube videos but I am particular for good quality
Right now, like a crafty noob, im using the mic of a facecam that actaully has a great audio quality when used correctly
But i want to get a mic just for videos, and not have to fish out the dang face cam
My budget would probebly max out at 150 to 200, but the more expensive, the more i have to wait until i have the cash...
Thanks everyone!

here you go... the 390X is slightly weaker then the GTX 980, but it is also A LOT cheaper.... Although, currently it seems like AMD will perform pretty damn good in DX12. Not going to claim they will be better then Nvidia. But the 390X will certainly NOT hold you back.

Have you had experience with a CX PSU?
The ones you see in videos blowing up are the retards that draw more power than the actual PSUs can handle and don't know how to build PCs.
It's the same story with Apple products. People hop on the hate train because they get butthurt people are still buying their products.
