NZXT H440 | i5-6600K

Blake Gall

I currently have two of the parts for this build, the H440post-229036-0-48283400-1441465340_thumb. and the Corsair CX600M.post-229036-0-97872300-1441465366_thumb.

I should only be running two old low-res monitors. Here's the rest of the parts.

Core i5-6600K

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

ASUS Z170-P MOBO

G.Skill Ripjaws 4 8GB-DDR4-2133

WD Caviar Blue 1TB

Gigabyte GTX970 (GV-N970TTOC-4GD)

WIN 8

Cost From Newegg: $963 USD(Sorry NCIX... :P)

*Not Including Parts I already have....*

Also... If I want to do some custom sleeving, it should be about $63 USD from Mainframe Customs. That'd be nice to do.

I'll probably get the rest of the parts around Christmas time so there's a good bit of time for any suggestions.

I plan on using this rig for gaming, video editing, and rendering.

I also want some suggestions for what to do between now and then with my H440 and CX600M. Thank You!

Bill: i5-4690K - 16GB Corsair Vengeance 2400mhz (2x8GB) RAM - Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - 1TB 7200RPM Seagate HDD + Samsung 850 EVO 120GB SSD -  MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition - NZXT H440 - EVGA GTX 970 FTW ACX 2.0 - CX600M - NZXT Hue RGB LED kit

i really don't like that case. it's up to you though... it won't affect performance so who cares

the cx psu needs to be returned. it's a piece of junk. get an evga g2 or gs series or a seasonic psu

edit:

corsair and fractal make some really nice cases

edit:

you got ripped off by buying from newegg. ncix allows you to price match while newegg does not

actually, no. i'm quite happy with my antec. it didn't cost over $100

edit:

i'm not saying all cx psu's will create a vicious firestorm in your mother's basement, but the chances of it happening are higher than if you used another psu

Have you had experience with a CX PSU?

The ones you see in videos blowing up are the retards that draw more power than the actual PSUs can handle and don't know how to build PCs.

It's the same story with Apple products. People hop on the hate train because they get butthurt people are still buying their products.

It's okay but the G1 it isn't exactly a PSU I would get but still better than a CX
