So long story short, My Ryzen master just doesn't want to be seen. It's almost completely see through. I've tried reinstalling it, reinstalling drivers. etc. Nothing seems to fix it.|

Has this happened to anyone else, and if so, is there a fix. Been looking on and off for a couple weeks, but can;t seem to find anyone with the problem besides myself.

I stumbled upon this just before your reply, and it's worked and now finally have my SSD showing up, it's empty, about to restart and see if that fixes the choose windows volume error. Thank you

If you get a BSOD, then we can pinpoint the source of the crash, but if it just shuts off, then no, not really. As others have said, and I'll agree with, it's a power issue

What crashed the game? No idea besides a in game message, if the PC is just straight up dying, it would most likely be a PSU problem, if it was anything else it would give you a blue screen, and reboot specifying "CPU Overheat" "memory issues" etc. At least I believe, I could and most likely am wrong though

As the others have stated. I would check temps 1st off, and then maybe upgrade your psu if it's too low of a wattage, old, or just generally not a very reputable one

Check your CPU and GPU temps.  Vega 64 draws a crap ton of power, so make sure that your PSU is good enough And make sure that it has enough wattage (ie, at least 650W)

It sound to me like the PSU Isn't Sufficient enough...I had the same problem with a older OEM PC. Shutdown under load, I left it to sit for a few days and came back it was kinda gone, But then i changed the PSU and it didn't happen again.

Seriously though, if you grab a SFF with a Sandy Bridge i3 and 4GB of RAM in it, it'll set you back $80 tops. Get a 250GB or whatever HDD, just enough for Netflix and a little media, maybe a game or two, then grab a GT 1030 and go. Sub-$200.

Only true of their x370 mobos (seriously, they're using 4 phases on all of them, including a $300 mobo!). But their b350 offerings are pretty good.

Plus $60 for keyboard and mouse.

You may question the monitor, its g sync, that's why.

However, judging by the games he plays, a 1070 is probably overkill. In which case we can swap for 580+freesync and upgrade psu, ssd, and case and still have $200 for peripherals!

I wouldn't be so concerned about whether the motherboard will fit, they all conform to form-factor standards.  I'd be more concerned if your case places the holes closer to the top or front by virtue of the case dimensions.  In those instances, some radiators may not fit in some cases (radiator depth) without interfering, ex. bumping into memory chips similar to issues with large heatsinks.  I'm sure you'll find someone on the Internet complaining about it if that is the case.

But yeah, go with the X370.  I'm waiting on the Asrock Taichi X370 to get back in stock myself, but I hear mostly good from the ASUS X370 boards as well.
