Unable to remove old windows install

@Dufsao14 Okay, Did a little more looking and it won't let me delete the other partitions/volumes through disk management. I'm trying to do it through cmd > disk part > delete volume for each, but it's saying "cannot delete a protected partition without the force protected parameter set."...

Not quite sure how to work around this one

Add "override" without the quotes at the end of the command

So I asked a question the other day, and upon more investigation, I think I know more about the problem.

Long story short, I installed windows on my m.2 SATA SSD a 120gb WD. Although, Wanting to remove my old windows install from my old SSD (An 850 EVO) I am unable. When trying to use Samsung magician, it tells me it's unable to create a bootable drive. and in cmd doing diskpart clean, I'm, told...

"Virtual Disk Service error:
Clean is not allowed on the disk containing the current boot,
system, pagefile, crashdump or hibernation volume."

That appears when trying to wipe my 850 EVO, But it's telling me my current install and Local Disk C is on my 120gb M.2 drive.

I'm just kind of lost at the moment, And I'm unsure of how to go about fixing this.
Sorry for essentially repeating my problem in another manner, But I thought this would be quite a bit clearer than the jumbled up mess of my last question.
(I really wish I could delete the old topic)
But thank you to anyone that can help me, I really do appreciate it

This solution should work, but if the Disk Management utility doesn't want to work, you could try Puppy Linux?

Great little tool it is, can be run from a 4gb usb drive.

The utility on the Puppy Linux OS is called GParted, should straighten up your issues with the ssd

@jimkirk363 @Dufsao14 @Jormungandr_Upphaf So, Going from my Devices and drives and attempting to format it from there didn't work, So when I went into disk management and formatted the partition, it seemed to work. Although, The entire drive is no longer showing up in This PC, it's just kind of disappeared from what I can see

@jimkirk363 Alright, So http://prntscr.com/lihwla This is what I'm working with at the moment. The Local Disk in "This PC" is the WD M.2. And the Disk 0 in Disk Management is the 850 EVO. I'm quite sure I did it correctly but I could be wrong, I'm awful with this stuff and I'm sure you can tell.

I should also add, that when turning on my computer, I'm asked if I want to launch windows from partition 4, or partition 12.

I should also note that, I meant volume, the computer launches at a screen telling me to pick volume 12 or volume 4, 12 being the new, bootable one, 4 being the install that crashes and i believe is on the old ssd
