I have no idea what I'm doing. My last computer had like 3 things to plug in, along with the GPUs and hard drives, and I was done. This thing is harder then a 500x500 sodoku puzzle.

I've got the h440 and the Asus ROG crossfire VI hero. And i have no idea what plugs I'm missing, but I'm missing something. Can anyone please help me.. I'm desperate

EDIT: This was meant to go in another category

Um... What is your question? I have no idea what you're asking for help with. What plugs?

Sorry, let me properly explain. Reading through the instruction manual, it talks about installing the cpu_opt, aio_pump, cha_fan1 etc. And I don't believe I have any plugs for them. Also the 8 pin EATX12V_1. Really the whole thing is a complete mess.. sorry I'm not explaining so well

OHHHHHHHHHHH okay here's what's up. We will start with the easy ones. The 8 pin connector goes into the big 8 pin plug by your CPU. Looks a bit like this, might be placed a little differently depending on your board but it will be somewhere near the CPU

That thing is impossible to get to...

You're gonna have to find a way. That connector is VERY VERY VERY important. As in your computer doesn't function without it level of important.

I don't even thing it matches up

I think my radiator and fan is in the way. And since I don't know where else I can hook that up. Could I just cut off that clip on the side of it. It should stay in itself without it right?

cpu_opt looks like a 4 pin fan connector, but it can supply 12 volts instead  of the usual 5. Good for powering pumps. It will be labeled like that on your mobo, "cpu_opt", and will also be near the CPU.

I know where cpu_opt is on the mobo, but I don't think I have a wire for it

I mean that's a bit ghetto but... nothing I wouldn't do. Just keep it in mind if you're moving the computer around a bunch.

just a note, make sure its not a PCI-e 8 pin you are pluging into your motherboard seeing as that would fry it, you are looking for a 4+4 connector im nost cases.

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Spoiler

The wire should be coming off the water block. If it's not coming off the water block... Meh screw it.

The only wires coming off that are the sata. One I've plugged into the cpu_fan and the two I've plugged into the fans on the radiator

"Ghetto cut"? I'm afraid to ask

I just cut the clip. They get in the way anyway, and I'm not moving this anytime soon so it should stay pretty secure

the clips can be a pain tbh, its fine to cut it. as long as the pins line up correctly its fine

Nice, that makes connecting your front panel so much simpler

The problem is I have no idea what it goes in, or what goes in it

The wires coming out of your front panel plug into that accordingly, and that plugs into the white F_PANEL block at the bottom right of your motherboard

These wires?

More likely that ribbon cable. The wires we're looking for should be a bundle of loose female connectors that say the same things as what's on the block you have, "Ground," "Power," "PLED+," "PLED-," etc.

Based on that pic, coming from the front panel should be a 2x5 block of female connectors for the USB 2.0 ports, a wide black connector with two thick cables for the USB 3.0 ports, and another 2x5 block of female connectors for the front audio.

One of them is the HD_AUDIO plug. At least that's where I've plugged it into
