You can get an APU based system using the 2200G for around 350$.

It will have 8GB of Ram and either 250GB SSD or an 1TB HDD.

It will perform rather well at 720p

The paper says the attacks can exfiltrate 'the full plaintext', which I gather means that if you have an encrypted email which contains an in-line attachment that's not separately encrypted ( encrypted before attaching it), then that could be obtained by the attacker as well.

ProtonMail seem to refute the claims of "vulnerability" as it's been in the wild for ages now. (They're the best in the business when it comes to privacy and email)

Got a question you think lots of people have asked before? Then this topic is for you! (Most likely not final version, any suggestions for improvements are very welcomed).
Things to do (feel free to leave suggestions):
Edit the order from most common to least common question.
Suggest some good routers in different price brackets.
    Suggest some VPN providers.
    Maybe add more questions.
    General polishing.

Why is my Internet so slow?

How can I improve my wireless speed?
Quick list of things you can do to improve your wireless speeds:

What do the different wireless standards (802.11n, 802.11ac, etc) mean?

2.4GHz vs. 5GHz and what does dual band mean?
    What is QoS?
What is the difference between a router, a switch and a modem?

What should I look for when buying a router?

What is port forwarding and how do I do it?

How do I access my router's web interface?

What is the difference between Megabit and Megabyte?

I have heard about this thing called pfSense, what is it?

What is a VPN and do I need one?

Yay I have no respect for someone that just drops a huge flaw into public hands without even bothering to contact the developers so they have a chance to fix it.

Be it Apple, Windows or Linux, it still blows my mind that people freak out over a single bug and call the company lazy or the devs bad. Like I dont give two shits how big it is, the fact that people think millions of lines of code can be combed through and verified to work flawlessly its ridiculous.

Notice how everyone is recommending different cards? People in the computer building community build up brand loyalties and can be pretty biased. Get whichever card you can find the best deal on and has the looks/features that you want.

I own the GTR, but haven't seen a side by side comparison to the Strix. It gets loud at very high RPM like most graphics cards, but under average use, that never happens. If noise is a priority for you, go with the MSI Gaming X 480.

I'm going to be brutally honest, I don't like the music in the background. And I'm not usually the sort of person who freaks out when things are changed. Without the music LTT videos usually feel kind of like you're just some friends responding when I asked whether or not I should buy a thing. That's just the tone LTT videos usually take. But with the music it seems more commercial.

I'll put it this way. Someone telling you how good the latest iPhone is would be just that. Someone telling you how good a the latest iPhone is with music in the background? That's an iPhone ad. I know that's not what you're doing here and I know you guys are still producing the same content. But over the years my brain has learnt that music + product = ad. I can't unlearn that. So it makes me not at all trust what you're saying about a product when music is in the background.

So I guess it can join the ZenFone 2 and the Nexus 6P in my "would have considered but it's too big" list of phones. It's like as smartphones progressed, people hands have kept growing larger.

Like the background music! Some LTT videos seem like they could use it and it's cool that it has been added. The music could be a tad bit quieter since it becomes distracting after a while, but overall, this is a really good integration of background music. About the OP3, it seems like a phone in a price range that I'd be willing to get!

I'm glad android is open source. Can't really sneak a backdoor like that without someone noticing. I feel like Apple's stance is the right approach, they shouldn't compromise their user's privacy like that, no matter the reason. If what FBI asks is done, then they might as well get rid of encryption altogether, as having a backdoor defeats the very purpose of its existence.

Oh yeah, FBI is a bunch of incompetent plebs. They better go back to IRC and use girl names to bait for predators. That's all they know about technology.

I have three misgivings on an otherwise interesting phone and overall great buy.

1: security. Is it secure? Chinese snooping? Fingerprint data not protected?

2: software. How good is the software? Will it be updated properly?

3: how's the camera? While it looks like they did some interesting things, at the same time the sensor looks decent but not anywhere near the competition.

Exactly. That's the thing people don't understand... All people know is resolution. When you get into higher resolutions, bitrate is SO much more important.

People see 4K Netflix and Youtube and think they're getting 4K content... But really, just putting a 1080p blu-ray on their TV would look better. I know you know, but for those who don't, a 1080p blu-ray is 30-40Mbps... 1080p Netflix and youtube are ~5Mbps, and at 4K they're ~25Mbps...

It's not illegal everywhere, there are a lot of countries where the legal status is unclear.

The Belgian law allows me to make a backup copy of any software/movie/music I buy, regardless of the manufacturer's restrictions.  If I need to bypass encryption to achieve that goal, there is no law in place to stop me from doing so.

At best, the court has the authority to prohibit sales in the US.  However it looks like they are trying to police the world again.

Optical media is still relevant if you want to watch high quality 1080p 5.1/7.1 content. I can distinguish between a native Bluray rip (30GB~) and a high quality encoding that's still 20GB~ let alone the crap Netflix streams.

This is BS, once I buy a show or movie no one should get to decide what I do with it for my own personal use. At least there is plenty of other software left.
