HyperHertz got a reaction from mpsparrow in Experiences with non-techies
Yeah but you can also get the Deathadder and the blackwidow chroma in a bundle for $6 less then what he paid just for the keyboard.

HyperHertz reacted to delslow in Simple PSU cover / shroud (how-to)
Here's my version. I used some cardboard to get the right dimensions before cutting my aluminum sheet. I went with plasti-dip, but I think I'll use something else next time. I'm not a huge fan of the texture. What do you guys think!?
Finished before Grommet
Grommet #1
Grommet #2
It's all about that Jace (Define S)

HyperHertz reacted to REX.exe in Intel CPU is getting more expensive here in Australia
Unfortunately Australia is the WORST country for PC components. They are endlessly going up in price. :L
I'm waiting for the next gen of intel CPUs to come out so the 4690K and 4790K will go down in price.

HyperHertz got a reaction from Verrucosus in Ok...Well there is thing called the SIGMA SHARK 635W
Oh, his system won't be ever likely to survive something like 3 years. Saw reviews and a lot failed in under 3 years.

HyperHertz reacted to Xsinar in LED strip surrounding the case interior too bright?
Try some thing as the NZXT Hue. I like mine a lot, as I can change colors, set profiles and has 4 brightness levels. Here is an image.

HyperHertz reacted to _wky in LED strip surrounding the case interior too bright?
Either that or you could wire a resistor in line with the led strip, which would make them dimmer.

HyperHertz reacted to Wauthar in LED strip surrounding the case interior too bright?
I think that a whole strip through your entire case would definitely be too bright. Maybe you could to one at the top and one in the bottom, or on the side.

yes and no
you can OC an unlocked CPU but only to a certain extend limited by the mobo VRMs
-
HyperHertz reacted to DimasRMDO in Just wondering...
You can still overclock even with non Z97 chipset.
-
HyperHertz reacted to Oshino Shinobu in Just wondering...
Yes. Gigabyte, MSI and Asus enabled overclocking on a lot of their chipsets (B85, H87/97 and H91). They don't have the power delivery to really support overclocking well, unlike the Z chipset boards, but they can do a bit.

HyperHertz reacted to insayan in Win8 need account to use it?
There is a difference in the 8 installation and the 8.1 installation in terms of accounts but it's been a while so I'm not sure what exactly.

HyperHertz reacted to DarrenP in Win8 need account to use it?

-
HyperHertz reacted to TheKDub in Win8 need account to use it?
Nope you don't have to use a microsoft account, you just click create a new account, then in there there is another button you can use to create a local account instead of a microsoft account.

HyperHertz reacted to NicekillBG in Do I have enough watts to keep my PC running?
you have all the watts
-
HyperHertz reacted to s3ns3 in Do I have enough watts to keep my PC running?
if the 550W psu is good, you can run 2x 970`s in SLI on it. your pc uses around 250w(even less in gaming) so you can preety much OC as much as you want.
-
HyperHertz reacted to Suffokation in Do I have enough watts to keep my PC running?
It depends on how intensive the overclock is.
I'd say around 30 watts maybe?
-
HyperHertz reacted to slightlyjaded in Do I have enough watts to keep my PC running?
Variable. but they tend to build a certain level of overhead into those calculators. Yes you can probably overclock a fair bit. but it really sucks when you realise you've hit the limit, and your computer turns off.
