The only difference is higher frame rate (and potential input latency) Right now HD2 on max settings ids somewhere between 60-80fps, so it's not that much more over V-Sync range, but in games where I'm over 120 it's amazing to have. ( I might reduce a few settings to boost FPS and see how that feels)

(Side note I LOVE G-sync, I'm not sure how I lived so long without it. Perhaps games screen tear less at 1080p than they do at 4k but man, it makes or breaks my experience at this point)
  4. Pro Tip: G-SYNC only works in the range of the monitors refresh rate. This is important because it's not always the max supported of the monitor, but rather what the monitor is set to in your OS. Why do I bring this up?

Because after a GPU reset I did, I was getting major screen tearing in HellDivers 2 above 60fps, despite G-sync being enabled. Previously it was butter smooth no matter the fps. Turns out the monitor's refresh rate got reset to 60hz instead of staying at the 144hz max rated.

Currently ARC weapons are bugged and are causing crashing issues (amongst other things)

yea i saw the dev's notes, arc weapon and tesla towers

i could go down the list of bugs i found while playing the game, but then it'll probably be an essay

  5. Imagine spending $350 for that garbage. $130 is still better, but the AIO being "separate" from the GPU heat doesn't matter much when you have a front panel that isn't competing performance wise with the rest of the market.

  11. I found the case to be decently well built. A lot of the structure of cases come from bracing the corners and cross brackets rather than thickness of the metal sheets. The side (top, in this case) panel itself felt a bit flimsy (unbraced) but the case itself with the cross brack felt pretty sturdy, though it will never leave it's spot on our entertainment stand. With the cross brace installed, it should hold the weight of a monitor with little issue.
  12. The Normal Meshify 2 will also hold 6 just fine https://pcpartpicker.com/product/cYD7YJ/fractal-design-meshify-2-rgb-atx-mid-tower-case-fd-c-mes2a-06
  13. Corsair does sell Spare parts for the case, but currently they only sell the front mesh filter https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/pc-components-accessories/cc-8900412/corsair-465x-rgb-front-dust-filter-white-cc-8900412#tab-overview However looking at the dust filters, these aren't anything special that you need a corsair specific brand since it's a simple magnetic top filter that many cases have. https://www.amazon.com/287mm-Filter-Computer-Magnetic-2-Pack/dp/B08TZWDS7P?th=1 Firstly, your motherboard must have the internal Front I/O port hat supports USB-C. It looks like this: Photo source If you dont have it, there are adapters for the USB3.0 to this connector but you'll lose out on your Type A ports on your case. If your board DOES have it, then it's a question of "Do you use any USB-C devices?" Because I have a new PC was a type c on both the front and back, and so far I have yet to use either. So the question "is it worth it" is relative to how much you currently use a USB-C device.
  14. How low / wide do you want to go? My roommate was facing the same conundrum a month ago; they had an ATX board that they wanted to use as a secondary pc and were struggling to find a case short enough to fit on the entertainment stand under the TV. They were originally looking at the PC-011D, and when I asked "why dont you use something like the Silverstone GD series?" The look on their face as I blew their minds that an ATX case could be so short was priceless. https://www.amazon.com/SilverStone-Technology-Grandia-Aluminum-Computer/dp/B00KHO0MRK Theres a few models, the GD08 thru GD12 are all aTX with various differences, but the GD09 has the front access 5.25" bay for that optical drive. The only reason I dont whole heartedly recommend it is because I dont know where you're putting it, and therefore limited on the width of the case. But if that's not an issue, check their cases out!

  19. The GPU cooling on this case is great. The CPU cooler, not as much, however the main testing was done with a CPU tower instead of an AIO. The 4080 would almost certainly be fine (my 4080 in the Fractal torrent does fantastic)
  20. I'm not sure if it's still made, but if you can find it the Coolermaster SL600M is exactly what you're looking for.
