I like Corsair products. They don't go overboard with a million different versions.  For a company who's majority business isn't peripherals, they've done a great job on their mice, audio 2.1 system, and lately their keyboards.  The K70 is one high quality product & their M65 mouse is as well.  If you look at their other product lines such as cases and coolers, you'll see that there is no other company like them that comes close to doing so well in delivering product content across so many different segments.

For 1440p the GTX 1070 is more than adequate. I currently play all my games at 1440p on my GTX 780 without much issue. On titles like Doom 4 I do get dips below 60fps but BF4 I never go below 60. If you're not planning on 4k gaming, you'll be happy with the GTX 1070 in both 1440p standard and 1440p wide.

Scratch that, just ordered some WASD custom keycaps from them for my Ducky Shine II.  I'll have some light blue and orange keycaps to go with the original Ducky white keycaps I have.  Should look sweet.  I'll post a pic once they're here.  Will look like this, but nicer  :D  I really dug the look of the Ducky Dye-Sublimated Blue n Gray boards so I'm taking my cue from there.

Yeah, after messing around with enough different MKs I've finally arrived at MK perfection......at least until Corsair releases the K70 with Browns.  Behold..... the Ducky Shine II Blue Backlit MX Brown with white keycaps.  I do love it so!  Had to turn the lighting all the way down to take a proper pic.

So, I got rid of both my Ducky Shine II.  The TKL MX Brown with blue backlighting went to the finance guy in the Office, he absolutely loved it!  The full-size MX Blue with purple backlighting went to one of our sales girls......she fell in love with it and she's not a techy type of person either even though she sells the hell out of IT.  :D

But, I must have at least 1 Ducky so I ordered the full-size Shine II MX Brown with blue backlighting and white keycaps.  I really need the Ten-Key and the chalky/scratchy loose feel of the CM Limited Edition Quickfire TK isn't cutting it for full time use, I'll use it for travel only.

Best answer!  It's all relative and based on typing styles, hand strength, and audible tastes.  That's what's great about Cherry MX, it's standardized so you know what you get and there are different options.  There is at least one type of Cherry switch out there that is good for everyone or that someone would at least find satisfying and better than the run-of-the-mill membrane.

I think you can get replacement keycap sets from Corsair.  I believe you have to reach out to them directly.  Also, Max Keyboards has the closest thing to translucent universal keycaps.  Their font size is pretty close to Corsairs as well.  I prefer the Ducky font size, nice and big.

Browns, love that it's the exact same force level as Red but has the slight bump.  I can also type faster on them than Blues.  Honestly though, I switch back and forth, I'll type on Blues some but mostly on the Browns.  One should own both IMO.  Also own some Clears, for those days I have a lot of angst.  Works well for relieving stress.  Which board I use depends on the mood.  Like a b!tch with different pairs of heels.

Bite the bullet and get a keycap puller.  You can buy it from Max Keyboards or Mechanical Keyboards for cheap.  IMO, I only found o-rings applicable for MX Reds or Blacks.  They completely alter what a tactile key is all about.

As to the OP, I own both Ducky's and a K70.  Both have their virtues but don't hesitate on the Ducky because of media keys.  Fn for media key use is still available on the Shine 2 boards and you can still get those.  Loving my new Shine 3 at the moment and looking to snag a Mini as soon as they're out.  Once I sell my K70 with MX Reds I'm going to replace it with a K70 with MX Browns though......because I can. :D

^^^ This.....but it takes hella discipline and practice to do it well without too many mistakes.  Most people are sloppier than they give themselves credit for. The Catholic penguins taught me how to type on an old school mechanical typewriter.  The Shift Key was a B*TCH with the weak-hand pinky and all the keys in general were much tougher to nail down.  Took a while down to dial down my force over the years since my departure from that purgatorium.  I've gotten very use to Browns but now I'm on another learning curve because I switched up to Clears, 15g more of force but I like them better.

I'm killer on my K70 MX Reds but I make more mistakes.  Found that I'm more accurate with Brown, and just as fast because of less backspacing but if I kept on with the Reds I would get to my fastest ever speeds possible.

Very nice key caps, and PBT at that! I'm awaiting news of whether these key caps have or will hit my neck of the woods. That blue and grey combo does look good......oddly enough. I've seen custom key caps with CS logo/icon and very expensive custom silver and gold skull key caps. The great thing about mech KB's is that the key caps can be replaced for a fresh new look, recently swapped out the Ninja key caps on my Filco for Ducky white on white, looks pretty good but oddly enough, when I type w/o thinking about it, I do pretty well. But, when I consciously think about where the letters/symbols are, I mess up pretty bad and type with lots of typos.
