My friend said he got a 'gaming' computer as a graduation gift, I asked for the specs and he said it had a gt630 in it and probably a core 2 duo (this pc was given about 2 or 3 months ago)...
Another one of my friends said he had an epic computer, I asked for the specs, he said he didnt know any of it aside from that the gpu was an nvidia...
he also said that he knew this guy who would go to Japan to sift through the trash to find computer parts and sell them here (to any Japanese members, is this true that you just throw away old hardware?)

When manufacturers name their products in such a way that you have no way of telling the difference between two. For example, what is the difference between a Gigabyte F2A88X-HD3 and an F2A88X-D3H? Also have a look at Intel's NUCs and servers.....

Okay come on guys he obviously didn't know so instead of posting snarky condescending comments why not just politely inform him products like this have been out for awhile and maybe further inform him about them? Instead of just saying how oblivious he is... Remember this is supposed to be a friendly non hostile snarky superior tech site? I'm sure we all felt pretty awesome when we first started learning about graphics cards and aftermarket CPU coolers or whatever. He doesn't need people making fun of him :I

Not to sound rude but you are adding absolutely nothing to this conversation so...
Maybe you should get an actual friend and leave your house and you might have a reason to text on a phone instead of texting at your computer.
Like OP said. This isn't for you. You seems to only sit at home and play on your computer. Phones are for people who go outside in the real world and want to communicate. You can't talk to your friend to make plans while your at the mall from your desktop.
