Mine was an attempt at a joke with a friend a long time ago. When I signed up for something, I then made this my name, to show off. It then stuck forever :)

Hi @Wiggly Jiggles, I have done some research with the options available within your budget and this would be my recommendation:

You could probably get a 55” LG C9 4K HDR 120Hz TV, one of the best TV’s you can buy IMO.

Have a google to see what prices they’re at.

Here in the UK they’re currently £1,100 but we have a much higher tax rate of 20% which is inclusive in that price, so might find one at your $1,000 limit.

    Power supply cables
    or
    Mobo headers

I have loads of customers calling me asking why they have some headers not used up, or on a non modular PSU, why some are not connected

if the laptop drive has windows 7 on it you can use a keyfinder to get the key out
or look on the bottom of the laptop, the key is usually there
you can use this key to activate windows 10, which you can install for free from a USB drive

if there was windows 10 on the hard drive then you can just make installation media and install windows 10 from a USB drive and it will be activated

I bought an Acer S3-391 last year and I honestly regret it, it's the 2nd laptop I've owned and both have been terrible in my experience. Bloatware being the biggest issue but it's not as simple as wiping the os now due to the new ways Windows activates. If I had a chance now I'd go for a MacBook Air if only for the support, considering it's for uni you don't want to be sending a laptop off for 2 weeks RMA if it breaks, Apple stores just let you go in and get a new one right away providing it's in warranty. Plus you can still run Windows if you dislike the OS. However I'd suggest OS X considering you'll be on university WiFi which could be unsecure so anything to narrow your chances of attack are better. I'm going to uni this year as well so this was my thought process but I don't have £1500 to blow right now

    Hey Techies!

I'm going to university in Septemeber, and will NEED a laptop for making notes in lectures etc (I have a PC already, very high spec). I've been looking at a lot of ultrabooks (my budget allows it).
My main choice at the moment is the new Acer Aspire S7.
My question is, do you guys know of any ultrabooks that are 'better' than the S7, and some rationale if possible?
    My budget is about £1500 / $2550

It's kind of ironic:  Super mega fast Internet to China, yet a lot of the content is blocked.  Surely that's like getting a $1+ million race-car for grandma so she can go to the corner store and buy eggs.

It can be on other cards, but since you are WC them just get the one with the reference cooler, dont bother spending more on other cards as you can OC them yourself

Hi, recently i have been working on a dark theme for LinusTechTips.
Please leave feedback and if you find something weird post it on the thread. :)

In the spoiler below is a screenshot of the theme (it's on Google chrome).

*I recommend to use the "Original theme" for larger screen sizes and the "Theme without width restrictions" on smaller screen sizes (such as laptops).

    **IMPORTANT**
You need to have the site theme on "IP.BOARD"

    Instructions↓

Instructions for Chrome, FireFox and Opera!
Install stylish (addon) for Chrome, FireFox, Opera Choose one of these and click on it → Original theme or Theme without width restrictions Click the big green button that says "Install with stylish" Done :D
    Instructions for Safari[1]

Download stylish for Safari and install it After installed stylish click on the "S" icon in the top left corner Then choose "Manage" and in the search box search for "linustechtips" Done

    Instructions for Firefox on Android

Download FireFox for your android device http://goo.gl/oe1ZJ Just follow the same instructions as Chrome and FireFox :D BUT CHOOSE THE THEME WITHOUT WIDTH RESTRICTIONS

    Change logo

Install stylish using the instructions above. Go to http://goo.gl/H8fltY and click install
[1] - Works on both Windows and Mac.

so tell me if i am wrong but from the list at the bottom it says "build time 9 days" is this person getting it built up for them? and whoa on some options,

first most onboard sound is good enough, get decent speakers first, and 2nd they would be better with one good graphics card.
and it says 2 lots of the same hard dive? maybe miss print or they want 2x the same hard drive.

some of the stuff is pretty good,.. but you dont need a extra sound card when you have a half decent motherboard nowadays., atleast get a good speaker set.
