Seems kind of pointless, laptops just do not deliver the best experience for gaming.

Absolute maximum i can achieve for unigine valley.
Stock bios, air cooled,Gigabyte windforce model, i5-3570k@4.5GHz

I would flash it, but i have never flashed a card before and at present there is no way i can replace the card so i can't risk it.

Also you could use prime95 for cpu testing.

The old girl just keeps on giving. Squeezed another 14 points out of her.
All the monitors say different things, not sure what to believe.

    CPU; i5-3570k @4.5GHz
GPU ; Gigabyte windforce GTX 780 3xOC rev.2 (stock bios, air)
    Average FPS; 76.6
    Score; 3204
    Setting; Extreme HD
Afterburner showed the highest boost clock as 1215, GPUZ says 1121.
    1793 x 4 = 7172  almost 7.2ghz on mem

Its reaching its limit on stock cooler and bios now. +5MHz on core clock or mem crashes it straight away.

    Think i just killed a 980 score

Managed to beat my previous score just enough that all the 970s are below me.

+110 core boosting to 1228 according to afterburner (but not gpuz)
    +500 mem according to afterburner. 1752 in GPUZ x4 = 7008.  7GHz effective

We need both companies to survive and remain actively competitive, it drives innovation and squashes prices. You can hashtag as much as you like, but monopoly just strains our wallets and slows down the rate that we (as consumers) receive tech.

Both great cards, but you get a few more features on the newer 970. I have a 780 myself and i have no complaints. Either choice would serve you well.

This. I've had problems with MSI afterburner interfering with new drivers - usually when its set to "apply overclocking at system startup". Both monitors would go dark green around 10-15 seconds into desktop and not recover. The best way around it was to uninstall afterburner then re-install nvidia drivers, then finally afterburner again.

Sounds slightly unrelated, but may be of use. Took me a while to identify which program was causing it.

    i5-3570K @4.4ghz
    Gigabyte windforce GTX 780 Rev.2  core 1123/1228MHz (according to gpuz/afterburner) 1775MHz mem (7.1GHz)
    fps - 72.1
    score - 3017

Only runs like this in benchmarks, in games the nvidia drivers crash much, much sooner.
