My mom always has my school ipad accidentally and uses it almost constantly. I tell her "mom, that's my school I pad, it's running out of power, it's on 5%, plug it in" of course her response to this is use it until it runs out, call it a stupid piece of crap, them continue to do whatever on her newer, faster ipad. OMG! It really grinds my gears. Another thing she does all the time is ask me for help with it. I come over and hold my hand out to take a look at it for her. She yells "no" and starts hitting it on the side. I love my mom, but sometimes I want to slap her. The worst one of all... My science teacher got some gunk on his screen, I raised my had to say "I have screen wipes in my backpack for you, I could got get them" he said " no, those are over rated, check out what my son (who is 8 and thinks he is a tech prodigy) showed me to do" so he takes out isopropyl alcohol and I am surprisingly pleased... Then he sets it aside and goes for the windex. He sprays it wiped it off with a news paper.. Then runs it over water saying "don't worry it's water proof"... It wasn't water proof

Not really a non-thechie story, but I think this thread has just changed into a funny tech story one anyways...
So I was looking at MSI laptops with gtx 970m's, and I saw the storage thing on it, and something seemed a little fishy about their drive size.

So, a buddy of mine is comparing iPhones to galaxy's. He blurts out "iPhones are better because they can text when they are off". Immediately, everyone agrees for they all have iPhone 5's and 6's. Whereas I have a crap phone. Of course, I ask him about it. And he says, he can text other phones, without service and androids can't. Of course, I mention wifi and connectivity through that. And hey says no! That's all part of the same phone plan. So, I'll start the dialogue here...

Me: your phone can connect to cellular service, get data through that service, and can connect to the Internet. As long as it is connected to one of those two, you can talk to other people.
K: no, I'm saying if you don't have anything up there, you can still text... See *proceeds to turn off wifi and turn on cellular service*
Me: you're using you cell data,
K: no I'm no, you just have to turn on that option.
Me: dude, the Internet by definition is the connectivity of information on devices
K: I'm not talking about that, I'm talking about texting
Me: *proceeds to laugh and turn around as the tech teacher gives me a thumbs up for trying to explain it*
And then the whole room agrees with him.

BTW, I'll probably be able to build this over the summer in 2016, I just had this idea currently... OR, I could use some old parts and try to stick those in a case.. won't be as epic though, and not as smexy

Build quality and resources used to make the laptop might have an effect in the price, also, some slight features in them might have a play in it. EXAMPLE: the CPU/GPU fan and heatsink quality, the bezel or screen quality or size, the type of track pad and clicks, or teh he layout and upgradability. They all have a factor... It might also be just over priced
