Found out today after several days of trouble-shooting my Cousin's "computer problems" when I finally went over in person that the reason none of my "solutions" were working is because the computer was donated by his kid's school and they never bothered to give him administrative access.  Hours of pulling my hair out, making sure he understood every step of every possible solution I offered to "it doesn't work and it's not recognizing anything" when the GD computer is asking for a password.  It never occurred to him to read the damn thing... just filed it under the broad category of "it didn't work" and moved on.  Might as well call AAA to say your car won't start, talk it through with the operator for an hour, finally call a tow and, when he gets there, finally mention you don't actually have the key to the car. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They view the computer as some magical device to which not even the attempt at logic need apply.  When I finally got it through to him that he needed a password (I could have and probably will still have to back up everything and perform a factory reset but I was too annoyed at the time) i.e. got him to READ THE FRICKING SCREEN, I asked if he had one and, no surprises here, it had never occurred to him or anyone else in the family to ask.  They've just been sitting using a "student" account on a computer they have owned for over a month now that just didn't work right all the time.  I soooooooooooooooo wanted to punch him.  Talk about wasting my time.

Dude, If you love it go for it.  Math is not nearly as important to programming as logic and creativity.  A program may involve math but that will be mostly incidental.  Programming is more like a game where you have to communicate to a very literal minded individual (the computer) a specific task you want it to perform while being limited to a very small collection of words.  If you can figure out the most efficient use of those words, how many times each one is used and in what arrangement, you win the game.

BTW, my best friend is making 6 figures now overseeing his own team of programmers and he still sucks at doing basic arithmetic in his head.  Board games w/him are always interesting and often involve opening up a calculator for verification.

WAIT HOLD UP. WE DONT WANT LINUS'S PERSONAL PC. The case has a lot of meaning to him guys. It was a gift from his wife. I believe it was the first gift from her too.
EDIT: Thanks for all the likes guys! Hopefully Linus or someone from LMG will read this and this will make Linus keep his build. Even if the goal of 100k is made we should convince Linus to do another build maybe, with signatures from the whole LMG family and maybe even his wife. This would let Linus keep the build he has with the special case his wife gave him. Besides, his personal PC would be more special to him than us.

Both support upto 192kHz sample rates.

What is most visible is that the ALC892 is a 10 (8+2) channel device, whilst the ALC887 is an  8 channel device.

What is more important for most people though is that the 892 supports Content Protection. This allows it to process audio at full quality. Without it, content-protected material (like many BDs and DVD-As) will play at CD or DVD audio quality.

Shabtai1024 got a reaction from juretrn in NSA still doesn't know the size of Snowden's unveiling
Nearly every civilization in history has engaged in domestic surveilance.  If you think your country is different you're a fool.  The only reason these "revelations" are so shocking is because the United States originally made laws protecting individual privacy though such laws were never meant to supersede public safety.
To be perfectly frank, what did you think the NSA did? Just as the CIA's mandate is foreign intelligence the NSA's is domestic and public opinion knee-capping these organizations can only result in more death.
Mr. Snowden compromised the security protocols of the U.S., England, Israel, Canada, Australia, and Norway potentially endangering hundreds of millions of lives across the globe.  He should be tried, convicted of treason and either given the death penalty or life imprisonment.

Snowden a hero? If you are a citizen of the US and just a little bit of a patriot, you shouldn't say that. He exposed your countrys cyber espionage plans and caused a whole bunch of organisations and governments to rethink their digital vulnerabilities, some even taking such extreme steps as going back to paper documents for sensitive information.

Let me give you a little example: at the end of 1950s the US constructed a huge network of underwater hydrophones that were able to hear noisy Soviet subs 1000s of km away. The Soviets did not know about the importance of silence on subs, US did and held a massive advantage in that regard. Until someone in the US sold out. Then the billions of dollars, invested in that network, were suddenly practically useless. Because of 1 traitor. Same goes for Snowden.

I think this is excellent news. While I don't expect Dell to change overnight. (more like 5+ years), it does mean that Dell will no longer require to satisfy their quarterly report, and start making less profitable computers and services, in order to improve Dell brand and image, by making much better computers and enterprise solutions/services, all by actually doing that they seams to not have anymore: do R&D, to innovate.

Shabtai1024 reacted to helping in This sales chart predicts doom for Sony and Nintendo
Wouldn't this graph supplied with OP only be logical since the people that would buy a PS3 already have a PS3 since it's been so long? MS show the same trend as Nintendo and Sony in relation to console sales, because nobody buys them on account of anyone interested already having one. What is more, I don't think Xbone and PS4 are factored into this, so even less people would buy a 360 or a PS3.

This is like how in America during the 30's we thought people would keep buying more cars when they have cars.

Additionally, no handheld system has been as hyped or successful after the original 1k series PSP, due mostly to the smartphone market crowding out pretty much everything else mobile and portable.
