  1. Past hour
  2. 4:20 and that stuff is over once again... that is like 1/5 of the video.. Soo you're telling me a 4500 DOLLAR Professional Business Monitor functions as a regular display? Without V-SYNC, HDR, 10-BIT color, 500 NITS of brightness AND it has MOTION BLUR... pixel density is very poor considering the price etc etc not even mentioning OLED here all of this should have been mentioned to the Audience I don't specifically know what issues he was talking about because the video is 25 minutes and i rather spent my time on something more productive Technically valid after 4:20. if you wanna watch all that yes...
  3. While I'm impressed that you can even wear a pulseox while gaming, I don't think this is rescuable. I found the manual https://sep.turbifycdn.com/ty/cdn/yhst-129261471419099/CMS-50E.pdf?t=1707323110& Looks like they want you to send it in for repair. But, if you can get either bit of software from the bottom of this site to work, you might be in luck https://www.pulseoximeter.org/cms50e.html
  4. I am not entirely sold on this. ZFS is ZFS, but if the goal is long term stability, personally I would trust an enterprise appliance which is TrueNAS. Yes. Truenas is just Debian now, but having the backing of iXsystems for the overall stability of the OS… that does mean a lot for stability. ZFS is where the magic is, but there is importance in doing an abundance of unit testing before pushing updates into production, and an enterprise grade appliance is going to do that better then other solutions.
  5. What motherboard is that? If it's a Gigabyte board like I assume it is, they report timings weird in the BIOS (they only llist the JEDEC settings for if you had everything on auto), so it's the BIOS misreporting the settings. 22-22-22-53 at 3200MT/s makes a lot more sense if you haven't touched the timings yourself.
  6. I don't know what that is all about but if you come to LTT for highly technical and informative videos, you're going to be disappointed. There are plenty of other avenues for things like that. LTT is doing what they find successful and that's entertainment. This video.. I turned my brain off and just watched Linus nerd out on some dumb LCD for a few minutes. It wasn't that serious.. for me at least.
  7. I'd list it at 300 and take 250, 225 for a good sob story
  8. Or use zfs on unraid since it's supported now.
  9. preferred FOVs vary by person. Recommendations are usually in the 30-40 degrees range. Part of me is trying to put off my next purchase... though the "ideal" screen size is around 80" for my own set up. There are logistic issues which arrive after around 65" though - it gets harder to move things and I struggle to mount a 55" display on a stand all by myself without feeling like I'm at risk of either dropping it or destroying it via raw grip strength.
  10. That description is Pennsylvania highways. We have quite a few roads like I-81 where the speed limit can fluctuate through the mountains. And of course, the cops LOVE to sit right at the sign boundaries to pull over people that didn't slow down!

So today's the day Light legally becomes an adu…

    Happy Birthday
  12. Kinda obvious but make sure none of the cables are loose. Try another cable for the card if you have. If it refuses to turn on it usually indicates a short somewhere. If the card were faulty it'd still turn on but have no video out.
  13. Hello! I am Julian. D I am 25. Hmm as a consumer statistics on a YouTube video doesn't really matter It is the quality of the video's but at least the title was correct.. Maybe I should look towards Short Circuit/Tech Linked/Tech Quickie or Video's from the Lab??? Seems like i have been a Veteran here and the Channel used to be more seriously oriented 5 years ago and headed into a different direction. I could look into other YouTube channels from Linus Media Group but would be nice to switch things up and be slightly more technical about the right topic of-course. Thanks for accepting the feedback ! And being understandable!
  14. i found drivers for some other will pass throw a vm
  15. idk i saw a guy in the comment section saying he was gonna sue lmg or some crap like that
  16. The history and application of monitors like this, and the missing support for super wide monitors. there's a lot of that in the video, but for the most part this does function as a typical monitor, negating the need to go into what display cables you need. there's nothing clickbaity about the title and thumbnail.
  17. my man people have been nuking his camp since day 1. this only got attention because of the closures. it's not a protest, he doesn't care, repairing your camp in fallout 76 takes 1 click and an insanely low amount of resources edit i need to take things less seriously
  18. Thank you! FSR upscaling rendered a few gams unplayable for me. Horizon Forbidden West SHOCKED me with how enormous the difference was. If you look at grass and move the mouse (the game has a LOT of grass) the flickering makes everything so bright it blinds you. It made everyone's hair in Baldur's Gate 3 so weird that it looked like the characters and the world were being rendered in two different engines. Hogwarts Legacy had both issues... Lots of grass and lots of weird hair artefacts. It was so bad that XeSS Balanced handily beat FSR Quality. This dilemma solved itself when I found a 4080 new for $800 though, so we're golden. I can use any of the upscalers as needed
  19. Looks like it's around 220, if the gauge is accurate.
  20. banned because you don't have Linus as your profile picture.
  21. Maybe it is, but if it isn't - if you plug in any new GPU - it will just go down just as the RX supposedly has. I'd check it anyway. If you don't know how take the PC to a shop and they'll check it for you. @podkall He stated he's using one atm. It could just be a faulty set of power cords for gpu, could be melted port/plug. Could be anything and nothing but I recently had a similar issue with my student's PC and turned out his PSU had a faulty cord for 12V+ line. It would boot with iGPU but ANY dGPU wouldn't. Static when there's not enough power going through the rails would suggest so too, since it seems that the RX is trying to draw some power.
  22. I honestly might before the Carlisle truck nationals in August, that road trip would be a lot more fun with a 400hp lol. Was thinking about throwing it all in before a local meet on June 1st, but.... I just ordered the parts to install brakes on the rear, going from drums to brembos so axles have to be pulled. While it's apart for that I'm going to powder coat the diff cover, battery tray, and maybe install some cheap 2" lowering blocks and slapper bars.
  23. podkall

Yknow I was reading a review for a very old ATI…
