(SOLVED) I need help looking up a certain theory...

Tocsin_786

So I saw a video the other day where a guy in a motor cycle crashed on the highway and not alot of people came into him aid, in the youtube comments people were talking shit about how no one stopped to help him out. But one smart person in the comments said that there is a certain theory which suggests that the more people see someone in need or pain the least likely they are to help them. Basically saying if you drop your books in the middle of the street and there is a single person walking by they will help you out way more than if you were in the middle of a big school hallway and dropped your books where there may be alot of students (not putting into affect that some students may be ass holes and laugh at the person).

I need to know the name of this theory. thank you in advance :)

Space Journal #1: So Apparently i  was dropped on the moon like i'm a mars rover, in a matter of hours i have found the transformers on the dark side of the moon. Turns out its not that dark since dem robots are filled with lights, i waved hi to the Russians on the space station, turns out all those stories about space finding humans instead of the other way around is true(soviet Russia joke). They threw me some Heineken beer and I've been sitting staring at the people of this forum and earth since.

It's the 'bystander effect'.

Bystander effect.

When people just think "ah screw it, someone else will help". People just feel less urged to help if there are other people around who can help
