AMD Crimson Drivers

Hi guys,

Since I've updated to Crimson Drivers, I can't play CS. It just starts up with a black screen. Can't see anything, but I know the game is running, because I can open up console and blindly write EXIT to close the game... What to do??

- Did use driver uninstaller before upgrading to Crimson drivers. :/

downloaded the proper driver for TeraScale? Could be that Crimson is only for GCN since TeraScale is retired

Are you able to roll back to your previous drivers? I recall that a few people here were having trouble with AMD Crimson.

What the HECK is TeraScale???? Never had any problems before. Just went in, selected my display device, and downloaded the drivers for it. I usually install all newest beta drivers, in hope for a Fallout 4 profile.

Yeah, I have the 15.11 Beta driver on my C drive in the AMD folder exctracted from last time xD . I'd just love to make this work.

I have the same problem with Rocket League. Doesn't really start.

Tomb Raider 2013 and Fallout 4 show that it's using 90% of my gpus, but strangely they're both at like 65'C... Which indicates that something's wrong, as they're normally up at 82'C when at 90%+ usage.

TeraScale is the architecture the 5000 and 6000 series are based on. It's now retired so your card is moved to Legacy support

Well if this driver doesn't work on the older series, why the hell does it show up, when I search for drivers for my specific card -.- jesus AMD.. Jesus.

Went back to 15.11 beta, all is working with no problems. 99% usage= 82'C again.

I tried re-installing the Crimson drivers, same problem. It is the Legacy Crimson Beta driver.
Works very bad on this hardware. Again, same as yesterday, 99% usage, 62'C on cores, showing that they're not really on their maxed usage, just limited.

Anyone has it working well for them?

-All fps in all games has been reduced with the new crimson drivers.

I've had no issues with it except for a huuuuuge fuck up with an overclock xD I may be the only one...

iirc Crimson drivers are the last drivers for the now legacy GPUs

Yeah, my radeon HD 6000 series is supported, but it works like crap xD 15.11.1 pushes more fps & performance out of my cards.

the only problem at this time I have with the crimson driver is the inability to set the refresh rate to the monitors refresh rate. when used on a 60Hz monitor i get weird AI movements and in a racing game ( NFS Shift ) the place where you buy cars and the place where you select tracks and opponents has a glitch where it keeps refreshing too fast ( runs a million miles per hour ) making it impossible to pick a track. I uninstalled that and reinstalled the prevoius driver where I could set a 60Hz refresh rate and things run normally. So I think the proble is too many fraMES BEING RENDERED  on monitors that can't display that many frames. I guess if you have a a monitor with a high refresh rate it should be fine.

Times are changing., the 60Hz are on their way out ( if you noticed the drastic cuts on the "old" 60Hz monitors over this holiday ) to make room for the new that require more oomph........... drivers are changing to keep up with the new demands.

remember how "hot" the 21:9 25" wide screens were a year ago? This Friday they were $125 and a rebate to boot.
