Install or not to install Windows 10 ?

Nope.

 

Well there you go. I tried it for a few days when I had another gtx 970 from one of my friends. Totally broken sli drivers lol.

 

Razer synapse works perfect, but other programs like roccat's one for their nyth crash and work like donkey shit.

So manufacturers failed their drivers. Definitely windows 10 fault.

 

I don't really mind it, settings can be a little hard to find but I'm probably just not used to it yet.

I need the change. Been on windows 7 for reallt long time.

So if half your gpus (nvidia) and programs don't work, why upgrade to windows 10 now? xD

I am using windows 10 now anyway, its on every desktop, laptop and windows tablet in my house (except my WHS2012 server)

Most people don't have any issues but my experience was horrible and with Vulkan I see no use to upgrade. Then again I upgraded day one but still corrupted my hard drives.

Most people don't have any issues but my experience was horrible and with Vulkan I see no use to upgrade. Then again I upgraded day one but still corrupted my hard drives.

Yea. I know. He made it sound like an infomercial, so I was joking. As I said, I have no issues. The only bug I have, is on my Surface Pro 2, when you show the touch keyboard, the application doesn't shift up or scale to see the content behind it, if it is at the lower part of the screen (the issue was not there in Win8). But it is a solid experience, and works, same on my desktop.

Windows 10 has a lot more than DirectX 12, and has a lot over Windows 8 and even more so 7.

My only real complaint with Windows 10 is the update system. If Microsoft publishes an update, Windows 10 will download it without asking you, and it will schedule a reboot. It's not usually a huge issue, but sometimes if I want to leave my PC on overnight for a lengthy download, it can find an update and reboot at some point, which will obviously stop the download until I'm there to start it again.

 

I miss the way it was done on earlier versions. I prefer to be notified that updates are available, and then manually allocating my own time and bandwidth to downloading and installing them all at once.

 

The system feels half-baked and poorly thought out. There are very few options available. If an update fails to install after the reboot (which seems to happen often), there is no further information given about what update it was, why it failed, etc. Little information is given about what's being installed, and you certainly cannot opt out of anything.

People claim "memory leaks." I don't think they truly understand what a memory leak is. Windows, as an OS, probably does not have any noticeable memory leaks.

Yea it has minor bugs..... Not everybody expirience them. I have the luck to only have a Logitech problem wish is only Logitech fault.....

Like the phones yes . Its getting betther And betther

I've been using Windows 10 since the first Tech Preview. I haven't had any problems with games in Windows 10 for about 6 months or so. Before that there was a nasty bug that crashed VAC, it's been fixed way before windows 10 was release though. I'm using the latest Insider Preview, games still work really well on it.

Amd caused a black screen issue on win 10 for my laptop that had intel and amd. Amd are fixing it soon, i rolled back to 7 bc of it and the rollback made win 7 blue screen on boot every time. Had to fresh install 7 (what a pain). I will go back to 10 once amd fixes the bug. Until then im happy on windows 7. Hell ive used it as my main os since 2012 when i got my first laptop (excluding a few months where i used 8.1)

Because in July when it was released there was a lot of people complaining. There still are people complaining but number of those who dont complain is growing. Its been 2 months since release so i want to know your opinions on it now :)

My opinion is that anyone that has issues with Windows 10 it is related to them doing a upgrade install, the machine itself not supporting Windows 10, or them just being ignorant with how they install Windows 10.  The ONLY issues that I can consider legitimate is that Cortina isn't refined, and other features like Groove Music and such, aren't 100% polished.  But they are 100% functional.
