HELP. What should I do????

TTesla

So I got most of my system all planned out and good to go.......

EXCEPT FOR THE GRAPHICS CARD!

I am buying everything from amazon (prime) in the United States, the system will be used for gaming with a single 1080p and a old small auxiliary monitor! My budget is anything from a 760 to 770!

With the NEW AMD cards coming soon (not soon enough for me to wait for) I don't know what to do?

First of all I am not a Nvidia fanboy or a AMD. But I do like the whole physx thing and shadow play.

Here's the rest of my system

4670k

Ud3h

H100i

750HX

Arc midi r2

840

WD black

A IPS 1080p monitor

Old auxiliary

8gb ram

What I am thinking is to not get a graphics card until AMD comes out with their Hawaii series. Then if it's good I will get that, if not then I will get a 770. Is this what you would do?

I don't want to wait for the WHOLE computer until the AMD release then end up getting the 770 anyways :(

Plus If I wait only for the graphics card then I will have a slightly larger budget giving me more options (higher by like $100)

Double check everything, I am usually wrong.

I would wait. I know its hard(I waited 8 months for a good GPU) but in the end you will be happier that you waited and explored all possibilities no matter which way you go either AMD or Nvidia.

Life is pain. Anyone who says any different is either selling something or the government.

Change mobo to U3H

No need for a caviar black when you have an ssd. A blue or barracuda will suffice.

Consider getting the 7970. Do wait for the 9000's first as it will likely be even cheaper. the 7970 and 770 are nearly neck to neck but the 7970 has more vram and is significantly cheaper.

I say wait, it has nothing to do with BUY IT IMMEDIATELY, rather, just compare the 2, if the AMD barely beats it out, get the Nvidia for the features, if the AMD really shines, get it, and if Nvidia's is better (which I doubt) get the Nvidia card
