Finally ready to build and guess what?

After several hundred hours of youtube computer "how-to" vids.  Today I am ready to start buying parts.

Sadly my motherbrd... an ASUS x99 pro isnt availible from amazon or newegg or superbiix...?

I can get it from smaller vendors if I want to spend allot more but I dont want to spend allot more...  My question to all you fine folks is this..

Are we on the cusp of new ASUS x99 boards or something...  where are these boards at...??

Well then you just need to use a different board.

ASUS isn't the only manufacturer of X99 boards.

I would just go on the auto notify list to be the first to get emailed when it becomes available. Newegg gets more stock almost every other day.

If OP has already chosen the board they want then there is no reason to change it.

Not wanting to wait is a pretty good reason in my opinion.

I would simply use a different board. Especially because the ASUS board doesn't deliver anything a different board couldn't also deliver.

I was considering more if they wanted to get a certain board for the look of it. More for a color scheme as well as having previous knowledge of that UEFI.

I do know that having to wait sucks though.

OC is as hard / easy on any board. Except when there are buttons for quick reset / clear cmos on the board itself, but I digress...

Anyway, for a basic OC, you only need to change multiplier and core voltage, and that's it. Pretty easy to do that on any board.

I don't think he has seen any BIOS yet, cause this is his first PC-build :P

Color scheme is important tho. I get aids and cancer at the same time seeing blue, red, green and yellow mixed in one case.  ;)

Mine's got Black, dark blue (PCB), lightblue (RAM / PCIe slots and sata cables) and white (some conectors, PCI slot, case fans). are we okay with that?

Sounds meh...

But as long as it doesn't look like a rainbow or it has a non-window side panel I'm fine with it.
