Should I go cheap on ethernet cables for 40-60mb/s download?

I need to get an ethernet cable to about 15m to bring upstairs but I don't have a lot should I save for a better one or get a cheap £10 one?

Just get Cat6 or Cat5e so you can have Gigabit LAN transfers

Do it. If you are under 100mbps its fine with going the cheap route. Any higher than 100mbps, go get cat 5e.

Honetly, I would just get cat 5E no matter what it is.

You'll get by with a cheap Ethernet cable. Just a word of caution, the cheaper cable will be of lower quality and more prone to looking jacked up. My own long cable is looking ratty.

I may save a little extra then just to get the build quality a bit higher.

Just think of this, cheap cat5 does 100Mbps or 10MB/s whereas Cat6 u can do 1Gbps or 100MB/s transfer.

Cat5e does 1gbps at a lower frequency. Cat 6 does 10gbps.
