Great PSU for Gigabyte G1 GTX 90 Ti 2-way SLi?

Go to solution Solved by Dzzope,

Sorry I just realized my post doesn't specify the model. Yes I was referring to the EVGA 220-G2-0850-XR

Would 850W be enough for a 2way SLi though? I seem to be reading elsewhere that 1000W and above are recommended, but I know nothing really.

Yes, fine.. Even with overclocks. 1000W will run 3 of them.

Hey everyone,

this is my proposed build:

CPU: Intel Core i7-5820K 3.3GHz 6-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Corsair H110i GT 113.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Asus SABERTOOTH X99 ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR4-2400 Memory
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB Video Card (2-Way SLI)
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB Video Card (2-Way SLI)
Case: NZXT H440 (Black/Red) ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: EVGA 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply  )
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM (64-bit)

I was hoping to get a good recommendation for a PSU for my build, I expect to overclock my CPU to 4GHz and maybe some mild OCing on the GPUs. Will the wattage be enough?

Thank you very much for the help!

EVGA G2 or GS 850W would be awesome PSU.

also

Super Flower Leadex 850W.

Beware of coil whine in Corsair AX series.

Just cos it's alive doesn't mean it's a good unit.. The G1 is ok.. It's not "bad" but at the price point it's not good either.. The GS and G2 however are much better quality and performance in power delivery and such.
