Unable to get work unit

Go to solution Solved by itachipirate,

Maybe not allowed through the firewall correctly? It seems like you can't make correct contact with the servers. Are you using a proxy or VPN?

Hey, so I'm trying to fold on this rig, specs in profile, and I am unable to get a wu. I was previously able to get assignments for the c2 duo, not the 9800, when I had windows XP installed, but after a fresh install of windows 8.1 I am no longer able to. I can give more info if needed, thanks for any help!

log.

Have you received any work yet? it says that both of the servers are empty, might just have wait.

Could try relaunching the client, reinstalling. Otherwise it might just be that there is no work left for

your hardware. But i don't think that is the case with your cpu.. Alternatively you could try to fold with

the web client, aka chrome client if you are only folding on the cpu anyway. @catzambia

Fairly sure they don't support 9800's any more... as for cpu try the chrome version... its old enough to be more useful there than the client.

i got a similar problem, just opposite. I am unable to end work... my GPU been stuck at 99% for over 1.5 hours now...

i use a i7 4790k + a R9 295x2.... ending work takes WAY too long....

If that happens. Pause it, close the client, restart the client and resume the slot. You most likely had

a hiccup somewhere and it might not even be at 99%, doing this should enable you to continue

where it stopped.

Yeah still no work, and I was never able to get work for the gpu, but was always able to for the cpu.

Haha yeah, it was my firewall. :P  No wu for the gpu, but cpu is folding fine now. Thanks man, and sorry for the late response.
