Here is the mini review of the product

Overall build quality of the product is OK, nothing fantastic but it neither a slouch.

Personally marketing it as a gaming product and selling it expensive will be a deal breaker

I only got it because of the size it can accept and also i got it at a heavy discount of 59 bucks instead of the usual 109 bucks

although the product is suppose to be idiot proof

CoolerMaster should at least provide a proper manual on how to use it.

Cooling wise i have yet to fully test the before and after results of the cooling

I tested it with my Dell Insprion 15R notebook which I use to play Mechwarrior:Online

using hardware monitor, the max temps recorded was 70+ degrees and the lowest was 50+ range temps

I use to hear the fan in the laptop ramping up at load but it is not so loud but could be subjective as I was using headphones during the gaming sessions

Will report back tonight.

Regards

No way that thing weighs close to 2 kilos.. And the fan blades doesn't look like it's going to much that much air through that mesh.

i not sure about the actual weight but it really big if you see it in person

i may put an item to scale

or use the items in the background and you can guess the size

It does say 1.89 kg on the box. My macbook pro is about 2kg. Put a laptop onto it n take picture with the cooler raised. Interested to see how it supports a laptop at full tilt.

i see what i can do tonight

but judging of the angle

you do need to open the hooks which are on the bottom of the base if you don't want your laptop falling off

This looks like a really nice cooler that I'd love to have. Too bad I have zero use for it. My laptop does run toasty (i7 920XM. Idles 60c.) but it doesn't overheat and like 90% of the time I use it its on my lap or in bed.

60$????

Why would anyone pay that for a notebook cooler?

You can get a fine one for 20-30

So the laptop is actually resting on the side rubber feet instead on the mesh itself. But man that angle drop, I personally would not risk my MacBook tilted that far. Nice review btw. Since you live in Singapore, I kinda understand why you would need a proper laptop cooler. LOL ;)
